Dominique runs a really professional complex of self catering units. The comfort of the rooms, the proximity to the beach - the onsite swimming pools - just excellent - and affordable!! This is a MUST for a memorable family holiday!!

We stayed here 6 years ago and decided to return to the familiar - we were not disappointed. The location is great for access to the water, beaches, public transport, dive centers, money exchange, restaurants and smaller shops. It isn't far from a supermarket and a bus ride/taxi ride from Grand Bay. The staff are helpful, friendly and professional. The grounds and pools are immaculate and constantly maintained. There are a variety of options in this self catering complex. We stayed in a few over the month we were there. The accommodation is clean (has daily cleaning service) well stocked and comfortable. There is WiFi and TV if you ever get board of being out. It is good value.

Do you know that feeling of pride, surprises, comfort... home? This is exactly how we felt during this 3 weeks break. Popo and Dominique, the hosts are so welcoming and always ensuring that all is well in a discrete way. The garden is lovely, safe, well organised. The environment pleases all, a good swim in the sea or relax with the kids next to the pool. Everything is within reach, shop, restaurants, chemist. The cleanliness of the place is carefuly mastered by your own private cleaning lady. Everyone is so lovely and welcoming. We will see you all very soon... thank you again for making this holiday, one our most memorable moment.

What You see/read on Their Website is all there. Fantastic location....right in front of a pier that services, Diving excursions, deep sea fishing excursions, within walking distance to amazing beaches, with all water sports. There is accommodation for all types of holidays, from Villas to affordable holiday accommodation, all units are serviced, very clean and well stocked. Staff are friendly and the property is monitored 24hrs a day. Owners stay on the property, so any problems are sorted immediately. This was our 4th visit, to this amazingly, well run holiday Residence. Thank You, once again, Dominique.......

We stayed at Bois d'Oiseaux for three weeks before and after our wedding with our family (5 adults and 4 children). The apartments are conveniently located in between two stunning beaches. There is a fruit stand next door where you can buy fresh local produce and several restaurants in the area (check out Chez Mario for pizza!) which you can easily reach within a few minutes by bus, taxi or rental car. You will also find a supermarket nearby that is only 2-3 minutes drive away. We couldn't have been any happier with our stay at Bois d'Oiseaux. It's good value for money, the staff was really nice, and the owners Dominique and Popo always helped if we had any questions. Thanks again for making our stay extra special!

We rented Bengali, Fouchet and Macoua. Arranged Airport transfers for different days And all without a hitch. Right on the beach, walkway between You and the sea. Accommodation clean and well serviced. Dominique very friendly and helpful. Lovely Restuarant right next door. Public transport reliable. Every bedroom has an Airconditioner. Laundry facilities. Gardens immaculate. Bengali and Fouchet have Private pools. There is a pool, for the rest of the complex. Perfect location for diving excursions. Very popular, so book early. Thank You once again Dominique, for creating this beautiful Complex.

We were in this area for specifically pre-arranged boat trips with a local dive company which left from the nearby jetty, so it was very convenient. We stayed with 2 friends in YeYe - a 3 bedroom apartment with two bathrooms. It was a great experience - we felt like we had our own little secluded house. Well equipped kitchen, very clean, garden terrace outside and balconies upstairs from where you can just see the sea and sunset. Nice swimming pool, very quiet. Some pretty birds around. We were out on the boat most of the time, and didn't have a car, so can't say much about the local area, but it is pretty touristy and built up. There is a small local beach next door, but it didn't look great for swimming. The beaches along to the right looked less crowded, but we didn't have time to explore them. We got a taxi to the supermarket in Grand Baie and ate in the apartment for several nights, but there are quite a few restaurants around. There is a very good pizza place and a charming Mauritian restaurant called Mediterranean. The villas at the front of the property looked nice as they had their own pool. This is great value for money, and a pleasant place to stay. Wifi is there, but slow.

The position is perfect The rooms spacious and very clean All the mod-cons including Aircon and satellite TV Good dive operators Good long sandy beach Great all round and worth a visit We walked the beach towards the south at night and were fascinated with the marine life we spotted with our flashlight Restaurants in the area are better towards Trou aux Biches than directly opposite If you have a car book a table at da Antonio e Giulia

Stayed in 3 bedroom unit that had two bathrooms (both only showers). All arrangements were done with owner and was professional, friendly. Resort is exactly as pictures on internet. Small but very private resport and units had private garden area. Verandas for bedroom 2 and 3 on frist floor with amazing views. All bedrooms rooms have aircons but fans in the living area was not adequate to deal with heat and humidity. The ground floor veranda is nice and big with a barbeque and we spent most of our time here. Resort offers welcome pack on arrival, but it is limited and it will be better to go to a restaurant (two right next to hotel) when arriving at the resort as most shops are closed. Or ask your transfer to stop at Chez Popo to stock up on a few things before heading to the resort. Super U in grand baie offers free delivery for orders above 3000 rupees. Welcome pack included coffee- but the cheap variety. So take your own brand if you love your coffee. Resort is not within walking distance to an adequately stocked supermarket. Closest one is Chez Popo- some 2 km away or a walk of 24 minutes. Bureau de change is right next to resort. Busstops to port louis and grand baie is close to resort. Used line 82 for 24 rupees to get to grand baie- runs frequently. Pay conductor on the bus not the driver and keep receipt to show if required later. Kitchen provided with basic facilities- kettle, toaster, microwave but not coffee machine, plastic table cloth and shower curtain. Not upmarket but good value for money.

I have been coming to this residence every New Years period for the past 5 years. However, I am slightly disappointed for the first time. Let's start with the positives: 1. Philip and Dominique are exceptional hosts and welcome you to their villas with open arms. Their hospitality is hard to find elsewhere. 2. Location: close to Grand Bay, walking distance to great beaches. Perfect location. 3. Price Now let's begin with the disappointments: 1. WiFi: many people still need to do emails and some work while on holiday. The residence offers "Free WiFi". However, this is of no use when the speed is literally 0,02MB/s (tested with Ookla Speediest). If you need to do any form of work, forget it. 2. Attitude of cleaning staff: Walk in with no greetings... ignore you... clean your villa in a mediocre fashion. "Cleaned" our cutlery yet the jam from yesterday's breakfast was so plainly visible that you had to be blind to miss it. 3. While the villas are spacious, I have not seen any improvement within 5 years. The same plastic shower curtains, the same plastic polkadot table cloths, the same dreary blue light covers, the world's most uncomfortable couches (outdoor furniture) in the lounge... with such popularity of the residence, there is certainly justification and funds to do a slight revamp of the years. 4. Incredibly hard beds with the same average linen used for 5 years. Don't get me wrong, this is value for money and a pleasant place to spend a Mauritius holiday. However, the residence and associated companies to it are doing extremely well... well enough to give back and do slight revamps within 5 year periods. With Mauritius increasing in popularity as a tourist destination every year, there are new hotels and villas popping up at an increasing rate... offering decent value. With this, if there is not slight improvements (like increasing the WiFi speed to that of even a dial-up modem), this residence and its villas are going to, sadly, fall behind the rest...
