We’ve just returned from a 12 night stay at Lux Le Morne for our honeymoon. We stayed in a Prestige Junior Suite which was bright and spacious, with a lovely outdoor shower with views overlooking Le Morne mountain and a large terrace very close to the beautiful sandy beach. We stayed on an all inclusive basis which was great, although there was some initial mix up when we arrived as the hotel incorrectly had our booking noted as full board (despite our paperwork clearly showing otherwise) and unfortunately it took 5 days for this to be rectified with our travel agent, which was an unnecessary stress to start our honeymoon. There are a number of exclusions on the all inclusive plan worth nothing, including a few menu choices at each restaurant available at a supplement, some premium drinks/cocktails/champagne etc. and dining at East restaurant is not included (800 MUR credit pp). There are 3 restaurants, The Kitchen (main buffet), The Beach and East (Thai). We had a number of fantastic meals at both The Beach and East. The Kitchen provides an a la carte lunch menu which is very good, although we found the buffet dinner a little hit and miss. ‘Island Kitchen’ was a fantastic themed dining experience at the The Beach, with live music and Mauritian themed live cooking stations - a real treat, one of our highlights. Chef Rajesh made sure we were well looked after here. Some of the staff at Lux Le Morne were truly fantastic. Chef Rajesh at The Beach restaurant was fantastic in catering for my wife’s gluten free dietary requirement as she has coeliac disease. Chef Rajesh went above and beyond time and time again to create a number of delicious gluten free dishes for us both to enjoy which we hugely appreciated. We’d also like to offer a special mention to waiter Annunto who was very friendly and made us feel so welcome. We’d go as far as to say Chef Rajesh and Annunto made our holiday - we’d return just to dine at The Beach with Chef Rajesh and Annunto. Manie at the celebration desk was also fantastic in booking our honeymoon benefits and arranging an incredible experience in the treehouse. There are a lot of activities on offer, including complimentary non-motorised water sports e.g. kayak, SUP, pedalo, snorkelling trips (although snorkelling just off the beach was also really good!) and some fantastic excursions too. We did a 4 hour private hike up Le Morne mountain which was an amazing experience with some impressive views after a somewhat challenging climb to the top, with a very knowledgeable and friendly local guide called Alan. We also did a private dolphin trip where we were fortunate enough to swim with a huge pod of dolphins, a truly unforgettable experience. We’d highly recommend the new treehouse - we were fortunate enough to enjoy a private romantic dinner and a movie in the treehouse, as well as sunset with champagne and canapés. The treehouse is a beautiful experience not to be missed. Overall, we had a fantastic experience at Lux Le Morne and we’d highly recommend the resort. We would suggest there is some room for improvement though, as always, to make the guest experience even better and to maintain the 5* standard. We felt The Kitchen buffet lacked inspiration at times and particularly found this environment quite challenging to navigate with an allergy, so we tended to avoid this. We found the allergen labelling occasionally inaccurate, which was a real worry. Perhaps more structured themed evenings, live cooking stations and variety on offer might help. We also found the dining experience at The Kitchen a little chaotic at times, some of the staff could have been more welcoming and friendly, also at breakfast we’d sometimes be left waiting a long time for hot drinks and we had to order these again a couple of times. Having said that, GF crepes at breakfast everyday were a real treat! We hope to be able to return in future!

Everyone here is so welcoming, friendly and courteous at LUX Le Morne. No request is it too much trouble. Seafood is especially good although plenty of alternatives as LUX has covered everything. I recommend booking all inclusive. We had the Jnr Suite wirh stunning ocean views from our balcony that also offered a great retreat from the sun when needed. People make a place and the employees at LUX Le Morne are some of the finest! Also try, yoga by the beach, the spa and dolphine boat trip. Allan & Pamela Room 240 for the Jnr Suite.

We stayed at the Lux Le Morne for 10 nights and were amazed by the 5*, personalised service we received from the moment we stepped into the lobby (where the view of the ocean through the palm trees makes your jaw drop!) The vibe is super relaxed - perfect for a nervous bride & groom-to-be! Nothing is too much trouble for the incredibly friendly, helpful and professional staff. I have several food intolerances so was delighted to find plenty of gluten-free, dairy-free and nightshade-free options, even in the mini-bar (which is vast and everything is included in the all-inclusive package and topped up every day!), and our wedding cake, which we had the opportunity to design with the pastry chef and our wedding planner, Manie. Not only is Manie kind and helpful, she's incredible at what she does and made sure our wedding was exactly as we pictured. We truly had the perfect day, all down to Manie who went out of her way to ensure this was the case. I had some quite specific ideas for our wedding which Manie made come true! The food is great. Lunch is a la carte and you have a choice of 2 restaurants or a relaxed lunch in the bar, on the beach or at one of the pools. Dinner is buffet in the main restaurant or a la carte at the Beach Retsaurant and Thai Restaurant (East). You can also dine at Vik's 'family style' on the beach. Amazingly, this is all-inclusive and Vik cooks for you and serves you at your own private table on the beach. We were the only table and the setting and food was beautiful. The all-inclusive activities are plentiful and very fun. We enjoyed the glass bottom boat

Great experience, fun people that will go above and Beyond to satisfy you. Thierry reserved the library so my wife and I could attend our meeting. He even prepared a fruit plater and for us. Harvind helped with some mixologist class and above all Jason blessed some of the best cocktails i ever had, best mixologist ever with the « monster cocktail » Great time overall!

My boyfriend and I have just returned from 11 nights in this beautiful hotel which exceeded all expectations. We had a standard room which was lovely, spacious, clean and a veranda to die for with stunning views across one of the pools and beach/sea behind. We could watch the sunset from our veranda. We were on an all inclusive package and enjoyed some amazing food, in fact there was not one meal that we did not enjoy and The Kitchen buffet was great and wines were delicious. The hotel is true paradise, so relaxing and so much to keep you occupied as well as of course being able to relax in the sun on the beach. We enjoyed stand up paddle boarding and a walk with the entertainment boys part way up Le Morne mountain (spectacular views) I would like to make a special mention to Vik who made us the most delicious meal one lunchtime and the most amazing view from his hut….that moment will stay with me forever. Vik was the most incredible host, a true asset to the hotel. Special mentions and thanks also to Jason in the bar, Abi in the restaurant and Dylan on the beach who all added to our holiday experience here! Keep up the good work, we will miss this place, hope to return one day!!! 😀

My wife and I got married here at the Lux. It was a amazing experience! Manie, the coordinator, was mindful of all of our needs and dispelled a lot of worries about having a destination wedding. I don’t think we would have had the same experience with out her there. The facility is amazing and the staff is awesome. We had more than a few laughs with everyone. Thanks Lux, we hope to be back soon!

We stayed at Lux le Morne for 5 days and got married there. The Lux is a really courteous hotel where no wish has to remain unfulfilled. we especially want to thank Manie, Jason and Swati. Manie was always at our side not only as our wedding coordinator but also with all other concerns and questions. Jason has conjured up the best cocktails for us in a long time and told us a lot about Mauritius. As our room service, Swati always made us laugh and did a great job, we have never experienced such friendly service. Of course, we would also like to thank all the other employees for an unforgettable wedding. Greetings from Marcel Meuthen & Anne Höbelt
