Located in the center of Grand Baie, Ebrahim flats is close to everything. They also have a tour office where you can book all the trips at a reasonable price and also rent a car. They offer transport to the airport. Would defenitely come back!
At the price point I got it for , the studio apartment at Ebrahim Flats was a very good bargain. The location is super , right across the Grand Baie public beach and a five minute walk from the super - U store and the other shops in the area . Ebrahim tours , who planned 4 days of activities for me , is located at the ground floor of the same building , and owned by the same family , so that was convenient . Bano beach residence , another well reputed place to stay , is in the same campus . One suggestion to the owners , while a washing machine in the common area is a definite plus , please do provide some detergent so that one doesn't have to buy a kg of it from the super - U or elsewhere . Also , there is an army of ants around the kitchen so best to keep all food etc in the fridge . It wasn't a deal breaker for me . Raeesa and Saud , the owners , were both responsive at all times and are available on site between 8 am and 5 pm. The studio apartments are large , our AC was working though we really did not need it , and a maid comes in each day except Sunday to clean . However there is no hot water in the bathroom , I didn't ask the owners if they had some arrangement - didn't really need hot water but maybe a geyser would be good . But overall very satisfied with our stay there . will recommend, and return …
We stayed for 2 weeks in Ebrahim flats apartment. It was 3 bedroom apartment in the centre of Grand Baie. The flat was a bit outdated, but fully equipped. It was located just across the road on the beach in the centre of the city. The apartment house was situated 500m from superb supermarket. Maybe the best one in Mauritius. The AC was working properly. WiFi was a little bit slow, but functioning. Ebrahim tours were sitting in the house, so we rented a car for 3 days to visit beautiful beaches at the island. However, the beach, we liked at most, was the Trou aux biches, which was accessible with local bus in 20 minutes. There were many food stands on the street with reasonable prices and portions (3-6EUR). Nevertheless, we had strange times in apartment while hunting cicadas and lizards for some nights. We had some problems with hot water too, but the owners solve it after all. Mauritius is fabulous :-)…
