Good Points: Amazing sea view from the balcony, lovely small beach right outside. Shower was decent Bad Points: - Villa on the right of the property was rented out to a large group who had two very loud parties on two nights out of the three we were there. We had to call the police, who did very little. It is unpredictable when it will be used and who will be staying there, so be prepared for your peace and quiet to be seriously disturbed. - Apartment was smelly - Bed was very hard - Furniture is the cheapest possible You are basically just paying for the view.

Very nice place was we stay at Segovia was a wonderful experience with the man call yaaz ,he help us for everything , we are planning to come back again with family's All the trip we had was fantastic We stay 3 days but it's not enough We can't wait to come back again A big kiss from us

2 nights in Grand Baie

Good points - great value, right on the beach, friendly staff. Bad points - Sadly there were at least 5 cockroaches in the ground floor living room in the morning, which I had to remove before anyone else noticed - didn't want that to spoil our first morning. A little far to walk into Grand Baie with young children 7 and 9. It I hadn't bumped into our uninvited crawling friends, I'd have given a better review, as it is right on the beach and the apartment was huge.

What rudeness and dishonesty

We booked a three bedroom apartment. Just before arriving there we recieved a phone call to say that seeing we were only 2 people he had changed us to a one bedroom apartment because the other people who were suppose to book out plane was delayed. What a bunch of lies. He was just greedy. On arrival nobody could talk English. Even the TV only had Chinese channels. We left and booked into a much better place for less than Garden Villas. He does not take credit cards only cash even in his reponse to the reviews he stated long ago he would have a credit card facility soon.

“Amazing beach view and sound of waves”

Garden villas is located directly on the beach, approximately 20 minutes walk from Grand baie city center. Beach view from our appartment was beautiful, with palm trees and Coin the mire island in the distance.... sound of waves in the evenings on the terrace was absolutely amazing. Staff was extremly nice, they took care of everything and responded immediately to all our requests. Pool in front of our appartment was a big plus for our children and we felt safe if they were palying in the pool by themselves as the property is protected by fence. Beach is nice, visibility in the water is not so good, but it is perfectly ok for spending a few hours enjoying the amazingly warm water on the lazy days. There is a nice beach restaurant just a few meters away with good food and childrens menu, and on the oposite side of the street from Garden villas you have a small food store (Lennardi) which will cover all your basic needs (fresh baguettes and lychee yougurt were my favourites :-) ) Appartment was cleaned every day and once we established what our preferences reagarding cleaneless are, we didnt have any problems, cleaning staff did everything to make us feel comfortable. We got beach towels, which we could change according to our needs. There is also a washing machine which all residents can use (it is placed outside under the stairs and works perfectly fine). The beds themselves were extremly hard, the hardest mattress I have ever slept on, but upon our request staff placed a softer top over our matttresses and problem was solved, we slept like babies... We had a private parking inside the gates (which close automaticaly), just below the stairs to our appartment. I believe price performance was good considering the beach front position. We will definetly be back to Garden villas! If you are not afaraid of driving on the "wrong" side of the road, I suggest you take a rent a car - it is a great way to explore the island. Regarding the appartment, I can only comment negatively on the hard bed mattresses but that was solved so it was only relevant for one night. Cleaneless was not the best when we arrived, but also that was solved immediately. What we really missed, was aircon in the living room as it got really hot during the day and humidity was arround 90%. Bedrooms were ok as each has its own air con. The furniture and sofa are very outdated, should be changed or renevewed very soon. Regarding position of the appartment, i loved that it was placed directly on the beach, however unfortunately you cannot access Grand baie by walking on the beach, you must go beside the road, and this can be dangerous as there is no side walk for pedestrials on some parts and with many rent a cars (driving on the left side is a big challenge for many tourist) I didnt really feel safe... so we rather used our car to reach Grand baie... But i still prefered to be placed where we were, without a road between us and the beach, as in Grand baie that is practicaly not possible. And staying in GB would also be to loud fo us.…
