The guesthouse Blues is ideally located 30 m from the beach Bay Side in Grand Bay, 200m from the city center and its shops.
The Blues opens its doors after a complete renovation of the old Hotel Bay Side. Under the direction of Ikram the owner, you will find in these places rooms and suites adapted to the needs of each one.The majority of the rooms as well as the suites have a wide view on the sea
We paid extra for a sea view, no one mentioned that you are on a main road and bus route. Thankfully we had a lounge and I could go in there so not to disturb my partner when I was woke very early in the morning. There was an droning noise all night, sound more like we were above the laundry room. Don't bother with breakfast, you don't see a menu and told what your having. The two colour butter is frozen in a pot and I think its shared with other guest , who we never saw. Don't ask them to get you a taxi, like we did, a big mistake on our part. He arrived to take us to our next location and 20 minutes into our journey he pulled up and a women got in, say hello to us and then they carried on chatting, it was like we were invisible We got to the area we were staying and the taxi man could not find where we were staying, he pulled over and the woman got out and disappeared with my phone, she eventually came back, I got back in the taxi and then they had heated words.he then disappeared after her and they came back with a roll each and a drink. We eventually got to our destination, with the help of a local man…
This hotel is old still old bathroom food disgusting staff i don't recommend people to go internet down a laboratory at the entrance.Staff not professional housekeeping not professional the restaurant and bar terrible the manager cooking serving himself no staff bar closed well frankly forget recommendation from my side bad smell in room old door so on
Good location, 1 minute from the beach, and 5 minutes walk to the main area in Grand Baie. The room was spacious, free air conditioning, free safe with amazing views of the bay. The room is dated slightly but the staff more than make up for this, they are friendly and pleasant. Breakfast is good with a good choice and you can sit outside. Sanjay the manager is always ready help out. Overall a pleasant stay at a good price in Mauritius.
We are 2 Italian guests: Cinzia and Roberto. We are spending 2 weeks in Mauritius. We were lucky to book Le Blues. It is a nice, comfortable and typical place. It is strategic to visit all the well known parts of this amazing country and it is located near the shops and services. The food is great. The staff is very friendly. We had a great welcome. We suggest this hotel to be in contact with the real life of this paradise. Cinzia from Italy
Our room was the king size with spa but it is all in need of a makeover. The bed was king size but the sheets only queen size whilst we had a spa the hot water was poorly big enough and jugs of water had to be boiled , the rooms were cleaned every day and the linen changed , the food was just ok but you have to ask if you would like an omelette or something else as there is no menu, it is in a good location with a couple of bars and restaurants nearby
Very good location and tasty food. There isn´t any variety of food (fixed menu), but really the BEST! We stayed there our first week and every day were surprised. Bed sheets are changed every day. Rooms are really simple, even little bit tired. But all you need you´ll have.
Was surprised wt the food ,great food ,fish curry ,pasta ,breakfast wt the delicious chicken sausages never eaten those ever anywhere ,the mixed seafood platter ,etc etc , Don't have a regular kitchen but Kevin is a whiz n the owner is planning a regular restaurant ,highly recommended and one gets it at a fair price
