Incredible location and room for what you pay! My expectations were completely blown away, in a good way. Very friendly staff who went above and beyond to assist us in every possible way! The owner also arranged car rental for us at a very good price.

Rooms dirty especially toilet and shower Pigeons roosting on the roof above these suits causing a very bad odor. The positive is the view which is very pretty. The microwave supplied has a short cord which makes it unusable unless carried to the stove top in order to use it. Stove and microwave cannot be used at same time.

Stayed superior studio first week of november. Amazing views balconies facing West and North. Sunset is really good and close encounters with the Mauritian fruitbat or flying fox are astounding. All in all it is hard to leave the balcony with the view and the peace of the sight of the Indian ocean.

My fiancee and I wanted to stay at a budget studio to spend the weekend and do some shopping at Grand Baie. Location wise the studio is well located with a great view of the sea. However we were quickly left disappointed with the following: 1. On the website it mentions free internet whereas in fact internet connection is poor and is only available in the corridor and not in room. 2. We were only informed upon arrival that the air conditioning comes at an additional price and is not included in the package. 3. The bathroom does not even have a shower curtain such that when we took showers, there was no way to contain the water from splashing on the floor. 4. The staff was friendly but any additional demand of information and you start getting raised eyebrows. 5. The electric fan was very noisy and was swinging dangerously such that we were scared that it might come off at any moment, Overall we decided to end our stay at Residence Peramal prematurely. The price per night is reasonable and we did not have many expectations. But in the end, in our opinion, the negatives outweighed the positives.

If you want to experience the real Mauritius and don't stay locked in a resort with all inclusive service, then this is the place for you. A very nice hotel where I recommend you take the Panoramic room that offers an 180 degrees view of the entire bay. The rooms are nice and offer a small kitchen that is well equipped. If you are not a big spender, and you want a budget vacation then this place is perfect. The kitchen offers a big fridge and everything you need to cook your meals and serve them on the spacious terrace with a view. Rooms offer a big fan and air conditioning. Internet: - WiFI: poor, only on hallways - with cable: decent (you need to have a laptop) No mosquito nets at the windows, so bring a spray with you. The beds are not double but you can bring them together. Cleaning of the room is included in the price and so are toiletries. Cleaning takes place daily between 11AM - 1PM. If you choose to get the airport transfer with Mr. Peramal (1500 Rupees one way), then he will stop with you at the main super market so you can supply yourself with groceries. And I recommend you buy everything you need for your whole stay. Nearby: - boulangerie (200m) - home made icecream (200m) - corner store (200m) - bus station (100 m) - Grand Baie city center (800m) - Restaurants (3,4) ranging from 50m to 400m You can also book trips with Mr. Peramal and both he and his son are very helpful to help you out with any info you might need.

I found this hotel by an accident. I needed a room. The staff was very friendly and gave me an amazing room on 3rd floor with a balcony overlooking the stunning bay. The room has everything in the kitchen. All of the rooms are huge. The price is only 30 euro per night. I had a fantastic stay. Thank you very much!!! Highly recommend!!

Residence Peramal was recommended in Lonely Planet as offering exceptional value for money. I booked a studio with a panoramic balcony for 10 nights, so had my fingers crossed it would be decent quality for the low €28 a night price tag. No need to worry, the rooms are spacious and the kitchen appliances are very modern and the view from the terrace is brilliant: the tropical garden in the foreground, the bay and Coin de Mire in the background. Service was the weakest of the three places we stayed, but reflected the bargain price. There was nobody there to check us in when we arrived and it was only by chance that the gardener was around to fetch someone. Some information about the office location would have been appreciated prior to arrival. Towels and sheets are the only thing provided. Despite a daily maid service, you have to provide your own bin bags. This is really a minor complaint and if you are looking for budget accommodation, this place fits the bill. Walking into Grand Baie is feasible, but takes around 15-20 minutes. Buses run in either direction to the beaches.
