I visited this place with my family. Made payment on September 2018. I time and again msged the host to confirm. When I reached the place they refused to take me and my family inside inspite of receiving the payment more than a month back.
We enjoyed our stay at this guesthouse, which is located conveniently within walking distance to the beach as well as to many good cafés and restaurants, as well as a large Super U supermarket. We had an issue with the electricity in our room, but were assigned a new room by our hosts while the problem was fixed. The rooms are simple and without TV, which I missed sometimes, but on the other hand we were out and about most evenings anyway, and there was a TV in the dining room which is usually free to use. The host Marie and the cleaning lady were always friendly and helpful. We did not experience any issues with the water heating; the shower water was hot even in the middle of the night.
Very quiet place. Ideal for couple and breakfast was good with room very tidy. Only problem was unavailability of hot water at night. The owner Marie is very welcoming and flexible as well. Value for money deal.
This place used to be a clean and welcoming oasis for Mauritians looking to enjoy a weekend in Grand Baie but since the new management took over, the hotel has become dirty and run-down. The breakfast used to feature a fantastic selection; it is now just a few stale pastries and coffee/tea (very basic) and the worst part is that you have to pay extra for it now. There is mold everywhere: in the bathrooms (around the tiles and sink), in the pool and even on the balcony (water pools there when it rains). There never seemed to be any hot water and the hotel is also full of loud families with kids constantly running up and down the stairs. A total nightmare!
