I was supposed to stay at the property, wanted to pay with my credit card in advance through the booking engine as required by the owner, but in the end he assumed that I didn't want to pay and cancelled my reservation. So, I had to rush to search something else with the big help from booking.com short notice from the beginning of my trip, causing lots of stress. Maybe it is a nice place to stay, but one takes the risk of having their reservation misconducted as well.
Villa Narmada is a lovely, homely place to visit. It's definitely home away from home. Friendly staff, always willing to go an extra mile to make you comfortable. The vibrant manager, the nice gentleman, fondly known as small man make your stay in that villa memorable. An intelligent cleaning lady, by the name of Corine, who speaks English very well, made my stay at Villa Narmada enjoyable, she always helpful and very knowledgeable with the street food and all. I was transported by Max, he took me around interesting places, very reasonable and understanding. He speaks good English, which was a bonus. He doesn't only take you to where you are going, he shares with you the information about places along the way. His number is +230 5768 3909 for those who will be going to Grand Baie. The breakfast was ordinary breakfast, nothing to write home about. Breakfast doesn't need to be expensive to be nice. Basic food like oats and milk can be such a nice and healthy breakfast. There are lots of fruits in Mauritius, tourists will love to have pineapple, mango or banana for breakfast. I must however knowledge that, they gave me some after I asked if I can't get a fruit for breakfast. So they are very accommodative. The towels are a bit old, even though they are changed everyday, and they are clean and smell nice, it's hard to know if they are white, cream white, beige or fawn.…
Spent 6 nights here recently, self catering. Easily walkable to local super U, other shops and restaurants. Not too far to La Cuvette beach (15 mins), quieter than Grand baie. All public beachs have toilets. Villa narmada very friendly and nothing too much trouble. Any defects repaired very quickly. Our bed was a bit hard and noisy. Recommended restaurant Talipot very good value but took a bit of finding. Bus stop 10 minutes, Express bus more comfortable and timing a little more predictable.
Spent a night there and seem to be a nice and quiet location. Who’s situated in Grand-baie near everything; Supermarkets, shops, restau.., beach, bars, pub and all (Can easily reach by cars or by walking..) Quiet place and was clean.
Stayed for two weeks in a one bedroom apartment with lounge/diner/kitchen, bedroom and en-suite bathroom with daily housekeeping service (except Sundays). Very friendly staff, especially Guest Relation Officer -Ruth Canepari who was also a good concierge directing where to visit for for products/services and things to do. Also very clean and maintained small swimming pool.
