2/17/2024 - Had my daughter's wedding at this beautiful venue. The wedding was in the main dining room with cocktail hour in the bar area with amazing d'oeuvres. All of the staff was perfectly attentive to our requests (both in advance and last minute). Several family members (+ bride/groom) stayed at the Inn which was awesome - clean and well stocked. While all of the staff was great, I'd like to give a special shout-out to Katie who went way above and beyond to care for all of us! Great job everyone :) I HIGHLY recommend for a small wedding or celebration.

I read Niki C.’s September post, hardly able to believe it could be possible-I was dead wrong. We booked a room for 12/14 in advance of our Anniversary, planning to make a nice quiet night in a newly refurbished (2021), clean, hotel/Inn. Upon arrival, there was no one to check in with, ok, we had an envelope with keys left for us. We had chosen the room (8) from photos on the web, although The Bond states you are not guaranteed any particular room. It looked clean, cozy, and comfortable in the web photos. Entering the bathroom, the TP holder was hanging off the wall by it’s screw, there were many drips down the wall next to the hand towel bar and behind the toilet, and there was a large spider in a web in the shower area on the ceiling. There was a used towel hanging on the back of the door, with someone’s pubic hair, apparently, still stuck to it. Not a good first impression. Although the website states that this building was completely refurbished in 20201, there were cracks in the joints between the ceiling s and walls, most seriously in the bathroom, although the bed area has them as well. The bed in the room was covered in a duvet that had stains on it (iron?), and the sheets had small stains as well. There was a small table to sit at, perhaps to have AM coffee, but the television wires were hanging so low it wasn’t an option. There is a “light” continental breakfast offered in the “sunroom”. There was white bread, rye bread, and poor bagels near a toaster-all in bags, NO tongs for them or the toaster, so you need to reach in and grab. Pre-packaged pastries (fine) and some stale cereal. There was coffee, but both the cream and all the “juices” offered were not in individual containers-more like a communal jug. That’s OK at home, but not in a hotel, especially when people have just faced a pandemic (no, I’m not vaxxed, I was never so worried), but EVERY hotel I’ve ever been to has individual containers-I should have checked expiration dates. Just nasty, we skipped “breakfast”. We had a duraflame log for our fireplace, which was pleasant, but upon retiring for the evening, the lobby lights were extremely bright ands shining through the door, which was NOT hung properly, so there were large gaps. I sat on the edge of the bed, and was able to read by that light. I called the number that was provided on our paperwork “in case there are any issues”, and twice it went directly to VM. Luckily, we had a different number from an email reply to one we had sent. Called that. Got Ash Anand, the “caretaker”. I was far from happy at that time, and told him so, and explained the light coming in. He said he’d “see what he could do”, and never did a thing. We eventually lodged a towel over the top of the door so it could hang down and block SOME light. (A dimmer would make sense here??) I had asked him who managed the property (him), and who owned it-he said a local person. What he failed to mention was that HIS company, Lotus Group in Warrensburg owns the Inn and the restaurant, along with a few other area properties. Now, the statement that the owner is a slumlord makes a bit more sense. The property was renovated in 2021, and by 2023 it looks as bad as a cheap chain? SOMEbody is not taking care of it, and it seems to be Mr. Anand, and that Mr. Anand is far from concerned. We never got a call back, an apology, or any response at all. Photos attached.

LOOK ELSEWHERE. The property has been updated, but they have a long way to go. We arrived late in the evening and the host provided us with a log to start a fire in the fireplace. My husband did, and the room filled with smoke. The fire alarms went off, and no one from the property came to assist us. After several minutes a young lady came over from the restaurant & shut off the alarm. The smoke subsided so we thought we were all set. Within minutes the smoke started to back up again. At this point it was making me feel sick. We called again and the lady came back & threw water on it..of course that made things even worse!!! The room was so full of smoke we couldn’t see across it. We gathered all of our items & got ready to leave. The young lady from the restaurant started crying and told us that her boss (the owner) is a slum lord and doesn’t really care. We left the property and drove home. The host has still yet to reach out with an apology. Luckily Airbnb refunded our money after he refused. I never right negative reviews, but people need to be aware. Not to mention the surroundings are all beat down houses and the area is very poorly maintained.

This place is wonderful. I stayed while visiting my son who works in the local camp which i worked in 39 years ago. Its got old world charm but is immaculate and clean. With modern, well thought out bedrooms. The owner was really friendly without being officious and made checking in and out really easy. The bar and restaurant are great with great food and staff. I really hope to revisit one day

Recently stayed several nights at this property. I selected a guest room on the first floor and was not disappointed with my choice. The room is spacious and the decor inviting. There is a wood fireplace with a starter log in it, an ice bucket and wine glasses, and a wine bottle opener. All impressive extra touches. The bedding is contemporary and comfortable with high-quality cotton. Plenty of pillows for extra comfort. Fantastic lighting and new carpeting. The bathroom is simple, yet well planned out and modern. The towels are bright white, fluffy and smelled delicious! Complementary personal care products were very good quality as well. The common areas were clean and brightly lit, and well appointed. There’s a lovely sitting area off of the patio, where you can have breakfast. There are small tables, a refrigerator with dairy products, fresh cereal, fresh fruit, coffee and tea, and even fresh bread for toasting. We never saw any of the other guests or any staff. When we got there it was pretty late so we went to the restaurant and the staff there had all of our check-in materials. We left very early in the morning and there was no one at the desk at that time. Only a half an hour drive to Gore mountain for great skiing and even summer activities. Even better is the Revolution Rail ride in North Creek. We really enjoyed riding the rails. The Bond has an adjacent restaurant with an outstanding menu and decor. Unfortunately they were very short staffed when we were there, but they were gracious about it! Food was great. There are several great breakfast places nearby. Overall I am very impressed with how this is being managed by the new owners and will definitely stay here again!

Our room was very cozy and clean. It was quiet and comfortable. The room has everything you’d need including a closet with shelving, a fridge/freezer combo and a small table with 2 chairs for in-room meals. The sunroom off to the side is attached to an outdoor deck with rocking chairs. There were fruit, muffins, sliced bread, English muffins, Keurig with pods and milk available 24/7 in the sunroom. We checked in through the restaurant since we arrived at 8pm, staff was very friendly. I would definitely stay here again.

We decided to eat at the Bond 1786 restaurant based on the positive reviews and that it was close to where we were staying in town. As we arrived and got out of our car, a sewage stench permeated the parking lot. We proceeded to enter the building, hoping that the odor was only outside but that was not the case. The smell was very bad on the interior of the building as well. Really not conducive to enjoying a meal, we left to go to another restaurant.

I was nervous booking since I had never been to warrensberg NY and had no clue about the area. We had a wedding down the street. Not only did they allow us to check in hours early, but they gave us a larger room. Room was very clean, adorable, comfy king size bed, new bathroom. There was a fridge and ice bucket, drinks and some dry goods (continental breakfast style food) down in the selenium. The grounds are so pretty! I wish we were staying longer than just one night! The restaurant was not open on sunday-monday, so we missed out on that. Casey was super friendly, and it was nice chatting with her for a bit when we arrived!

After an outstanding experience some 3 weeks ago, we (a well-behaved family group of 7) were disappointed to find friendly but poorly-trained service (dirty dishes were not cleared between courses, wine was not poured, etc.) None of the dishes we ordered were outstanding - fried chicken was over-breaded and over-fried, lamb ragout was minced and tastless, stuffed mushrooms were short on mushrooms and heavy on cream, tuna tartar was fine, but nothing special. Don't know if the chef was on vacation or there were staffing issues, but the result was a far cry from our previous experience.
