We stayed there two summers ago and then returned again last year. The location is an old mansion that has been converted into an Inn with approximately 8-10 rooms on the second story. Each room is decorated with period furniture and has it's own unique view. A top flight restaurant downstairs provides everything you'll need in one location.

We enjoyed our stay at this great bed and breakfast hotel. Gardens we're beautiful and peaceful and the rooms were nicely restored old Victorian / colonial period style. My parents first stayed there when visiting me during my school days at Cornell and now my wife and I are appreciating the same amenities.

The location is great! I feel that the the Inn is going to be wonderful once it is restored. We dined in the restaurant the first evening and the food was very expensive for what it was. I feel the Inn could focus the menu on fewer selections and the quality would be much better. The accommodations were just okay....

Christine, thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. I agree with you that Lakeview is dated. This fall we have plans to renovate and convert the space into a spa, salon and fitness area for the property. If you are looking for a larger house for a family or group, we have plans to convert our Hillside...

We have always enjoyed staying at the inn. The quality of the room, the views, and breakfast on the porch provide such a wonderful atmosphere for relaxation. It can't be beat for a couples get-away in wine country.

This is a wonderful place to stay when in this area. My only complaint is that the are not pet friendly. If they were, I would have stayed here several previous times I was up here. I really wish they were because it would be a perfect spot for me.

My husband and I have stayed here 1-2 times a year over the last 3 or 4 years, meeting friends or cousins here because Ithaca is halfway between our homes. Staying and eating here was always a wonderful splurge. But, we recently stayed here with our friends, and we all were very disappointed and doubt we'll go back. The two...

Our stay at the Lakeview house was an ideal place for a multigenerational family. The spacious and brightly appointed Lakeview 1 provided a private suite for the family matriarch. The spacious kitchen just needs to have some dishes, silverware and a toaster to provide for a family lunch or light breakfast. Lakeview 2 was a connected family living room with...

We had a small wedding brunch reception on June 4 for about 50 people. The experience was everything I could have asked for. The location is beautiful and the staff is so accommodating. We had so many guests comment on the food. Our pictures came out beautiful because of the beautiful inn. We are so happy and grateful to them...

Dave, we can't agree more. Thank you for your recommendation. The Inn at Taughannock is only steps away from the Taughannock State park. Did you know that when John and Molly Jones built the house in 1873 they owned what is now Taughannock State Park, including the tallest waterfalls east of the Rocky Mountains at 215 feet tall? We can't...

Our room was located in the Edgewood building. It was new construction and very nice. The room was spacious and had a nice little patio overlooking the lake. One negative for some people was there was no elevator in that building. It wasn't a problem for us, but some people might have issues with it. The breakfast in the morning...

The Inn is under new ownership and management since February 2016. There are plans to expand our room offerings in the future to include a second Edgewood at which point...
