I truly don't have enough good things to say about Hotel Mountain Brook! I stayed for 2 nights over Thanksgiving and was absolutely blown away by the cozy, charming, absolutely idyll inn. The hotel itself is spotless, the staff could not be more friendly and welcoming, and the amenities and little touches are endless! We loved the game room, the complimentary snacks, and the DVD collection where you could pick out a film to take to your room each night. The rooms are homey, yet upscale, and very clean. Breakfast was delicious and restaurant quality- French toast, breakfast sandwiches, amazing pastries. The staff went above and beyond to make recommendations in the area and accommodate every need of the guests. After a Thanksgiving hike (Kaaterskill Falls is only a 10 minute drive, but there are many others in the area), we relaxed with Scrabble and a glass of wine, enjoyed the multiple fire pits, and went for a walk around the grounds before dinner at Julia's local (around 20 minute drive away). The night we arrived we walked into town (5 minute walk) for dinner at Pancho Villa. The whole trip we talked about our next visit! Thanks so much Hotel Mountain Brook for making this a home away from home on Thanksgiving!

Property's Favourite Review
My stay was pure magic, even if it was just for one night. This hidden gem provided the perfect sanctuary to relax and unwind after a day immersed in nature. The staff greeted us with warmth and genuine hospitality, making us feel truly welcomed. And the breakfast... oh my, it was simply divine! But what truly made the night unforgettable was the enchanting atmosphere. Under the full moon, we gathered around a crackling fire, embraced the peaceful silence, and awakened to the harmonious sounds of nature. It was a captivating experience that will forever hold a special place in my heart. This is a place of pure enchantment, even for a brief stay. I highly recommend it to anyone seeking a magical escape.

So pleasantly surprised by this place. Loved the people, loved the lodge vibe, loved the views, loved the breakfast, etc. We will definitely be back. And the town and burger place at the bottom of the hill is much nicer when you’re not sharing it with a bunch of other tourists during the summer. But I would still go here during the summer, too, if that was my only chance.

Our first time at Hotel Mountain Brook. We were looking for a quaint, cozy Hotel in the Catskills where we can go from time to time to just 'kick back." The place is as comfortable and welcoming as we hoped. We will be back. I gave them 5***** s with one caveat which I will explain later. The staff is warm and friendly.(all of the time.) You are genuinely welcome it was November so we spent time indoors and outdoors. The Library with its fireplace and snacks is comfortable and welcoming. DVDs are provided for your in room movies. We would go into the breakfast dining area which is more like a living room for drinks later in the day before dinner. Some great local beers. Cozy, comfortable and relaxing. Tensions melt away. Our room was spacious, comfortable and immaculate. At 3:00 each day two fires are lighted outside. The one in front of the hotel has great views of the mountains. Both are great for making S'mores. All materials found in the lobby. The porches are well laid out with individual comfortable seating or in living room style grouping's. Breakfast is a treat. Various items to select including a special item each day. The omelettes were superb and the French toast with bacon a real treat. I also had the locally sourced yogurt with fresh fruit. It was Delicious. Much of the produce is locally sourced and is wonderful. We like hiking. Usually once in the morning and then in the afternoon. There are plenty of trails within very short rides. Here is where I took a Star away. In reading the information on the Hotel site which says: 'Take a midday nap in our wildflower field. We have acres of mountain land with incredible views" and "travel up our road to the Mountain Top Arboretum." We were under the impression that there was hiking on their acres of land. There is none. The Arboretum is two miles up a public road Hill Street not Their road. While I was not looking to take a nap in the field of wildflowers I did not see one at the Hotel. The Arboretum has a great field for wildflowers. Once we realized that our impressions of the above were mistaken we adjusted our activities and had an enjoyable time. As I said just what we were looking for. A place we can go to whenever we want to kick back and enjoy a friendly comfortable environment with a variety of nearby activities. Lots of skiing in winter . We could see snow on some of the Hunter Mountain trails on November 13th. Just a note of caution if you go in November. Monday to Wednesday. Tannersville pulls in the sidewalks at night and there are very few dine in options available. We found only one. Thursday to Sunday no problem. However we did get take out which you are welcome to eat in the Hotel dining area. We do a lot of traveling all over the USA and overseas. The Hotel Mountain Brook is a winner for a welcoming, friendly comfortable environment to take a break in the beautiful Catskills.

Everything about this hotel was outstanding! We were greeted like family and showed around at check in. The rooms are gorgeous and the beds super comfy! It was all the little details that were exceptional like a game room with every game you can imagine, snacks, soda, coffee and tea at your finger tips. Breakfast was fantastic with a hot entree every day. Cleanliness was very important to me and they did not disappoint. The place was spotless. Every evening was topped off with an outdoor fire pit, cozy outdoor blankets and s'mores! You can not go wrong booking this hotel!

This was a great find after an internet search to find a weekend getaway to celebrate our anniversary. The entire staff were welcoming and pleasant. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom had nice Beekman amenities. The complimentary breakfast was delicious!, especially the apple cinnamon French toast. The muffins in the afternoon were a nice treat after a long day of hiking in the area. The complimentary beverages and snacks ere also a nice touch. We met some great people while sitting around the firepit in the early evening. The innkeeper made sure the fire was kept burning long after dark. The staff also provided great suggestions for places to enjoy dinner. We will definitely recommend Hotel Mountain Brook to friends and family We will definitely be back!!

We really enjoyed our two night stay. A very rustic hotel on the exterior and modern in the room. Employees were lovely and helpful. Our room and bathroom were immaculate! Charming room with a fireplace and very comfortable bed and pillows. Stay there with confidence!

The team is so friendly and helpful. I was surprised that the property does not have elevators and was able to move to a lower floor. The lodge is beautiful and so comfortable. Grab a s’mores kit from the lobby and enjoy the fire pit. Breakfast is delicious, too! Special thanks to Marley at the front desk who was very helpful and accommodating.
