Great location on the water; just off the bus line; and near authentic diners, shops, bodegas and bakeries. Not your generic, corporate cookie-cutter place to stay. Rooms are large (HUGE by NYC standards), the breakfast is simple, and Moe is very helpful. A great find in the not-yet-gentrified North Shore.

What a wonderful trip. Moe makes this place great. There are books accessible on every available surface for you to kick back and enjoy. You can get takeout and eat on the porch, which faces the bay. Beautiful night views and a quiet street make this a must. Wonderful historic architecture inside and out. Only a block away from bus...

To find a quiet spot anywhere in New York is a pleasant surprise. The Harbor House is not only quiet but also on the waterfront of Staten island with views of Manhattan. Together with a spacious room with comfortable bed and a convenient continental breakfast this Bed and breakfast is home away from home.

As it was our 30th anniversary, my hubby and I wanted to make it special. Can't get more special than NY! Wanted to stay away from the hustle and bustle of Manhattan, so I found a gem called Harbor House. Moe (the manager) was always very informative prior to booking, and we're glad we chose this B & B. After...

We had 3 nights here. This was our final stay in the US after a 3 week road trip, we wanted to do 'do NYC' and after reading reviews of the Harbor House we knew we had found our ideal place to stay. We are not too keen on corporate hotels and much prefer the B&B experience and in a...

I stayed her for one week, July 19-July 25 and was very pleased with the accommodations. I was quiet and comfortable with excellent views of the harbor, with the bridge to the right and downtown Manhattan to the left. Large bed room and separate lounge area with large double pane windows. No street noise. Up the street was an excellent...

well received by Mo who gives his best to settle you in. The house is actually very nice with great view towards NY but dying for some proper renovation. Part of us slept in bunk beds which mattress were old and springs felt. Breakfast nice with good coffee. For the location the price is probably ok but ....

My flight was delayed for three days in NY. The Harbor House was the only available place that booked us with only a few hours in advance notice. The price was affordable, Moe was great- he did my only pair of laundry for me and gave me some extra clothes for comfort. The friendliness of this place and its tenants...

My wife and I returned for another one-night getaway (from Manhattan) and we had another wonderful stay in the top-floor room with a panoramic view of NYC, Verazzano Bridge, etc. The B and B is not fancy, but it's clean, comfortable, well appointed, Moe, the proprietor, is awesome, and the location ism I like to say on the New York...

While it isn't your typical five star property, it is definitely a five star experience. This was our 4th stay at the Harbor House and our first choice of a place to stay in NYC. The journey to and from Battery Park passed the Statue of Liberty, Ellis Island and Governor's Island on the Staten Island Ferry when you're headed...
