My wife and I spent two relaxing days enjoying our stay at this retreat in the woods. The host Fred could not have been nicer or more accommodating! The Charles room was beautiful and well appointed. The bed was comfortable and the breakfast was awesome! We look forward to the opportunity to return to this wonderful gem!

My girlfriend and I went up to the Adirondacks for Memorial Day Weekend and had the luck to hit upon this place. We knew we had made the right decision when we walked in and Fred, the amazing owner/operator, immediately poured us glasses of wine. The hospitality was truly above and beyond. Fred made sure we were taken care of...

Fred is so nice and willing to accommodate your needs. Always quick with a great story about the homes history or about the areas history. My room was perfect, clean, quiet, and very comfortable. I would absolutely visit here again the next time I am in the Saranac Lake/lake Placid area. Thanks Fred for a great stay!

My husband and I took a long Memorial Day weekend to make the trek from Philadelphia up to Saranac Lake. We joined another couple at The Porcupine Inn B&B. From the moment we pulled up to The Porcupine we were surrounded by picturesque mountains and beautiful foliage. The B&B was warm, welcoming, and most of all a great place to...

We joined another couple in spending an extended Memorial Day weekend within The Porcupine. The experience was amazing and like no other. We've stayed in numerous B&B's, Inn's, and whatnot throughout the country and Europe, yet, The Porcupine was truly top shelf and superior to most. Fred, the owner, truly makes the establishment shine. His exquisite approach to the décor,...

We were invited on a weekend elopement of old friends of ours, who wanted us to stand up for them. Fred, who has owned the inn since the fall, greeted us and gave the tour of the inn. He pretty much told us we were free to roam the place, as there were no more guests expected(although one person did...

The house is beautifully decorated and Frank is among the best hosts we've ever had. Breakfast was incredible and we left full for the day. This BnB was recently purchased last November and Frank has put so much love into it. The details in every room are simple but elegant. If I ever ran a BnB this is how I...

I spent a wonderful long weekend at the Porcupine Inn. My room included a beautiful sitting room and a private bathroom. The bed was so comfortable and the location so peaceful that I slept like a baby. The porcupine isn't far from the town center and was a great base to use for exploring the Adirondack area. Fred is a...

Spent the opening weekend of the Winter Carnival with my wife, and our dog. Owner Fred was very accommodating, friendly, funny, and knowledgeable about the festivities. The classic mansion has so much character & history. We will definitely be staying again in the future.
