Old fashioned, almost New England type of feel to it. Good food. American. The place is not small, but the rooms feel intimate. There is a fireplace in one room. Feels Almost like you are in the 1930s. Beautifully set tables. In high season mobbed. The management is nice. Good Cigars sold at the front desk. Expensive but fair for...

A nice outing with my dad and daughter on a very rainy weekend. We stayed at the hotel and had dinner in the restaurant. The iconic hotel has the charm of a nicer B&B, spacious comfortable rooms with 'antique furniture' and thank god functional bathrooms. My daughter and I had the homey "Apartment Room" that has a second floor attic...

This is a unique property with tons of historic charm. Our party of four had a fabulous meal that could not be faulted in anyway. Comfortable, elegant dining room, and lively bar scene. Perfect night out!

My husband and I had the pleasure of dining here on Monday February 13th and we were so happy to have picked this restaurant to dine in! Such Old World charm with amazing food and service! Great meal and great atmosphere. Dover sole is great. Fantastic Peking duck. Rabbit was great. A wonderful night! A bit pricy. But memorable. The foie gras was perfect with port glaze. Deserts were just as good. Romantic as well.

We were here with a large group (80) for lunch. We started with very good mimosas. We had a choice of appetizer of salad or corn chowder. The chowder was excellent !! For the entrees, we had a choice of burger, eggs Benedict, crab cake or Croque Monsier (ham and cheese panini). The staff was very good for waiting on...

Our party of eight had a lovely dinner where every dish ordered was to our liking. Our table began with oysters, shrimp cocktail, salads and a beef marrow bone the size of a large ear of corn. We went on to fine entrrs with no room left for dessert. The waitstaff was competent without intruding. The only negative was the...

We sat in the front of the bar with the chess and backgammon board and had a great lunch early Sunday afternoon. The prices were as expected with being in a place like that but it was worth it in my opinion. The wine list was more like an encyclopedia and had amazing information about all the different varietals they...

4 of us stopped in for a nightcap and 2 and half hrs later we all agreed we'll be back. They have a great bartender serving generous drinks. Its in an old hotel built more than a hundred years ago and its just like it was when it was built except the prices are a bit higher. It's a treasure...

Lunch was served in the small "Atrium" off the main dining room. Prompt and courteous service. Goat cheese omlette with fresh salad was delicious, an oversized shrimp salad with pears, avocado, bacon bits could have fed two. The Banana Foster topped the meal. We'll be back. : )
