All the reviews have said it all. The best breakfasts with the biggest farm fresh eggs, yummy bacon and ham and the tastiest herb biscuit-muffins. Maggie loves to bake and has a dessert table laid out all day - pies, cakes, breads, cookies - all amazing. The property is lovely and well maintained. Nice to stroll around and visit the...

Foodies note: Maggie was a terrific hostess and wonderful cook. Bring your stretch pants if you plan to stay more than a day or two. Scratch pancakes and muffins! Smoky bacon! Eggs from farm chickens! Breakfast is not to be missed. Property is beautiful inside and out. The individual rooms are clean and well-furnished, as are the common areas. A...

Yummy food, good vibes everywhere, from the grounds to the rooms, music, desserts, from Jake, the chickens, Tigger, horses, Fred & Ginger, and best of all, beautiful Maggie. Hope to be back soon! Location: easy to find, off the main road and 5 mins drive from Rhinebeck town. Nice sized acreage with plenty of space to walk around the "woods"...

The property is lovely. Our room, was The Northwind, and was nicely decorated, as are all the rooms. Each room has a different configuration, and you have to choose from what is available and suits one's needs. The Northwind for us was a great fit in that it was a very nice sized room. This room is in the carriage...

I am almost hesitant about writing this review because I don't want to share Whistlewood with anyone else, but I would be doing an injustice to this beautiful homestead. Upon our arrival I felt at home in 60 seconds. The fireplace, the fresh fruit, the antiques and last of all our beautiful room - The Wyoming. My husband and I...

We along with two other couples stayed here over Halloween weekend. It's a 7 room B&B set on a beautiful horse farm. The owner Maggie is super friendly and helpful. Breakfast was wonderful and the Rhinebeck area is very beautiful

My wife and I spent a very nice weekend in the Rhinebeck area this weekend. The Whistlewood was a big part of it. This is a beautiful horse farm property. The main house is impressive inside (though an unassuming exterior that blends well into the land). We stayed in the carriage house a few hundred feet away - and it...

If you like quiet, natural beauty (exquisite Fall foliage) and great, homemade pies in the evening and breakfasts in the morning, this farm should be your choice for accommodations in Rhinebeck, NY. The owner, Maggie, goes to great lengths to assure the comfort of her guests. As to rooms, we cannot speak to those in the main house, which appear...

Whistlewood Farm is a beautiful bed and breakfast with a unique setting on a friendly farm in a beautiful area in the Hudson Valley. The decor is great, the breakfast is yummy, and the service is terrific. We had several members of our family stay at the location for long weekend wedding and Maggie, the owner, was very helpful, friendly,...

Spent a couple of days at Whistle Wood and didn't want to leave. Our room was so charming and cozy we had a hard time getting out of bed. Outside our room we were surrounded by beautiful country, horses grazing, chickens, cows and a couple of friendly farm cats. Breakfast is not to be missed. Maggie serves up a feast...

Maggie, the owner, hostess and chef makes eggs, pancakes, french toast, bacon, muffins, fruit salad, etc. We were there on a weekend. It will fill you up! You might want to call and ask if it's the same during the weekdays. There is also a dessert table that is available at all hours. Pies, cakes, etc. delicious!

I'm not a smoker but I would think you could smoke outside around the grounds - which there are a lot of. There is a porch/patio out in front of the house and I don't know if Maggie allows smoking there or not. Call or email the B&B and I'm sure she could confirm the answer to your question. Good luck and enjoy.
