Upon arrival and some inquire about the property, I received a little attitude from the innkeeper. Almost as if she was annoyed with my questions. This wasn't a good start and the uneasy vibe continued throughout our stay. We never truly felt welcomed. Some details below. The room: Stayed in the carriage house in the Northwind room. This room had...

We stayed at Whistlewood Farm as my daughter was getting married in Rhinebeck that weekend. We arrived a day early as snow was predicted for Friday. Maggie, the innkeeper at Whistlewood Farm was amazing. It snowed all day on Friday, and Maggie plowed her driveway repeatedly so we could travel easily. The bride and bridesmaids joined us for Champagne on...

My family and I had a great little get-together here one weekend in August. The rooms were quiet and comfortable. Some are attached to the main house and others are in a cute little annex house close by (2-min walk). The proprietor Maggie is really great -- one night she hooked us up w/ some firewood for a bonfire, and...

Our experience at Whistlewood was outstanding. We stayed in Carriage House and the decor was amazing. All of the rooms including the Main house are filled with story telling decor that is very unique. Every area is a little different and set up to make you feel cozy and at home in the country. The bed was very comfortable and...

Beautiiful horse farm with large main house with several big common rooms where you can lounge in front of the fireplace or sit and watch a movie or sit and get some work done or eat or just look out into the woods. Maggie makes delicious pies and cakes that are out all day for anyone to snack on. There...

Thank you so very much for the great review. It is my pleasure to have, in my opinion, "the best guests in the world". You have made my day and my life of Bed and Breakfast really worth doing the little extras that I can, to make your stay comfortable, even if you can't eat all the goodies because of...

My husband and I went there to see the Old Rhinebeck Aerodrome and did not want to stay in a hotel. The atmosphere was very cozy and Barbara even built us a fire outside every night! She cooked fresh farm eggs and other tasty items. Maggie was a gracious hostess and the entire property was immaculate. We stayed in the...

I was taken here by my boyfriend for my birthday and we had a wonderful time. The hostess does a perfect job of making you feel at home and comfortable, explaining everything with just the right amount of detail. The place itself is lovely, with a little walking trail around the grounds and very sweet horses to pet and feed....

Host Barbara was warm and welcoming and accommodated our changed schedule. The grounds are gorgeous as we found out in our hike thru their woods. The house common areas and room are inviting, clean and relaxing. Breakfast was pleasant. What's not to like?

Although I had only one afternoon and evening at the Whistlewood Farm B & B, it was wonderful. Barbara, the owner, is welcoming and even accommodated my early arrival. She made a great breakfast. The room in Carriage House was very clean, quiet and the bed was really, really comfortable!
