I stayed at Tug Hill Resort and the proprietors Natasha and Joe were great. They have snowmobile rentals with top of the line machines. Joe took me on the trails for a great trip. We did like 60 miles in a half day. The room was newly renovated, clean and warm. The room has a microwave, mini- fridge and coffee maker, but they also provide a large common kitchen for the visitors with refrigerator, stove and a good size table. I hope to return for summer ATV. Itcwas a pleasure to stay with them. Tug Hill has hundreds of miles of trails.

I stayed at Tug Hill Resort January 13Th - 16TH 2022 with a childhood buddy of mine to do some snowmobiling. This place was HEAVEN. There is nothing bad I could say. The Hotel owners Joe & Natasha went out of their way to make our stay pleasant. They have a kitchen that guests can go in and cook. They keep free juices, bread, coffee, snacks, and a very well stocked frig. They don't ask for money but will accept any tips. I highly suggest leaving a little so this tradition can continue for future guests.

The snowmobiles they rent there are brand new. I rented a Ski-doo 850 that was amazing. No regulator for speed and ran like it just left the factory floor. The rates are great for new snowmobiles. We booked another weekend with 2 rooms to bring more friends to experience this great place. We would have booked three rooms, but they are fully booked. Finally, the snowmobile trail system is right outside your front door and beautifully groomed. TRULY tremendous property, owners, and location!

This place needs more than an excellent rating. 6 of my friends and I stayed here 2 nights ago. It is my far the cleanest place I have stayed at in years. The staff were amazing with anything you needed or wanted. Breakfast was provided and you could make any of the variety of things they had there for your convenience that you wanted. If you want an inexpensive great place to stay, this is the place!.

My husband and I went to the Tug Hill Resort to go ride the trails on our SXS. Check-in was easy, the owners were great, friendly and shared info and answered questions. The room was cute and clean. They offered coffee and even had snacks in freezer if you wanted them for breakfast. The beds were comfy, and we loved the deck you could sit on and hang out. A microwave and mini fridge were in the room along with a community grill available for use. We will go back - thank you for having us! Oh - the price is right too!

This place is cheap but for a reason, Doesn't have the standered amenities that a normal hotel would have like a ice machine, and the owners have nasty personalities and are very anal about everything. We shower up 30 minutes early after driving 5 hours away and got bitched at by Natasha for that even tho we were the only ones at the property. Joe the other owner was a jerk aswell. Highly recommend staying somewhere else unless you want to deal with being watched on the cameras and being scolded.

Thank you for taking the time to leave your review on trip advisor as opposed to the actual booking site you used to make your reservation. Perhaps this is because you were banned from leaving a review due to your abhorrent behavior which was reported to them. You were a disruption to neighboring guests who complained of yelling and banging in the middle of the night. Despite being advised weeks in advance we were unable to accommodate your early check in, your sense of entitlement decided to show up early. You were the only ones at the property when you arrived because everyone else was respectful enough to adhere to our check in time. Our amenities were not a problem when you occupied our guest kitchen at 6 pm to make use of the free breakfast items provided despite being advised of breakfast hours. We have security cameras because of situations like this. Your reservation was made for two people yet you attempted to sneak two more in and refused to pay the extra fee for them. The fridge dispenses ice. The breakfast items are available 4am-11am. We have repeat guests who love our place and refer their friends and family to us.

We had a delightful midweek getaway at Tug Hill Resort. We enjoyed the gorgeous natural setting, went Kayaking in Salmon River Resevoir and loved meeting Joe & Natasha, the owners. Clean, quiet, and exactly as advertised. We already reserved time next year.

Awesome quick trip! Family owned and operated. Loved the hospitality. My girlfriend and I had a blast. Kitchen had everything we needed as well. The highlight of the trip was the 8 hour UTV adventure. Great price for a great time. They mapped out everything for the trails too! Such a blast. Will definitely be back for the winter snowmobiling adventure. Highly recommend for a super fun, affordable getaway!

A group of us stayed here last year and is just "ok" because they just opened. Made reservations this year and cancelled with 6 days notice because it is supposed to rain next week (snowmobiling sucks in the rain). Their new policy is 14 days notice! Unbelievable - NOT ever going back.

Great spot !!! Only 1/2 mile off the main road. I had 27' snowmobile trailer and 4 door p/u that I thought I might be in troluble with off the road but excellent trailer parking and for the rooms they were clean & neat and newly redone. Top class last but not least the lodge was beautifully done. The inhouse black cat made it feel like we were right at home and the caretaker was very friendly. I would rate 9 out of 10. I would be a 10 all around when they get the bar open, but good time will be back soon looking forward to the cabins and all other new additions. It looks like it would be a very nice retreat in spring & fall. Best of luck

Found myself booked at this lovely lodge off the beaten path in a part of New York I had heard about but never explored. I travel a lot researching history and museum's. Being late December and as the area is known for its amazing lake effect record breaking snow storms I was not disappointed in experiencing this phenomenon. I actually had the good fortune of getting snowed in and had to spend an extra day.
I was graciously met by new owner Rick and his sister Kathy. I was late on arrival time but they went out of their way to try and navigate me to the lodge. I was checked into a beautiful room with a king size bed and all the amenities I needed very clean and a stones throw to lodge. Nice flat screens, cozy room near the main lodge. Very easy to unload car and even easier to snowmobile right to room I noticed snowmobile trailers had easy access to back sleds out of trailers and though I wasn't there to snowmobile I could tell it was a perfect set up for snowmobilers. I look forward to coming back with my sled and friends. It is a snowmobilers paradise..
Kathy was a doll and even picked up supplies for me me when I realized the snowstorm was going to render me snow bound on new years eve alone. Lucky for me my 2 hosts took me under their wing and helped me have a memorable new years snowbound in an epic snowstorm.
The next day the owner took me for an unexpected snowmobile adventure. I was able to see the most beautiful waterfall we snowmobiled close to it and then walked in to Salmon River Falls.. A stunning waterfall half frozen. Spectacular!!!.. Coming from a snowmobile background I was amazed at the beauty of this area but also the well maintained trails and lack of mass sled traffic you find closer to Lowville trail systems.
The Salmon Hills lodge new owners seem to have put in alot of work in renovations especially with their new state of the art kitchen. My breakfasts were yummy and I can only imagine what a place this will be once they have their liquor license and are serving dinners and full bar menu. Now it's breakfast and lunch. Anyway, because of weather I was not able to accomplish business but look forward to coming back not only for business but hopefully with friends to ride snowmobiles. The only problem I noticed is that their website is still under construction and you may have to call and leave a message for booking a room. My friends have tried and no call back.. but after being there I assured my friends they were either plowing, shoveling or riding all that snow they get and this was a minor thing as the lodge and whole experience was worth a little effort.. you won't meet 2 more kind and accommodating people then kathy and her brother. If you are not lucky enough to be there with snowmobiles take the time and enjoy the Salmon River reservoir especially at night in the winter. There are numerous museum's nearby that you can call and schedule even in winter.
I recommend Salmon hill lodge. A great snowmobile stop and family friendly.. byo wine and enjoy the balcomies. Wish all my jobs Sent me to such quaint places..
