The room was nothing fancy. The price for the room reflects it's Adirondack charm. The food and atmosphere in the Tap Room made up for it!! The bartender was friendly and knowledgeable with regard to snowmobiling and local "hot spots" The decor is hand drawings from locals and it was plenty warm enough. The S.S. Durant was open along the shore...

Beer on tap, friendly bartender, interesting & diverse clientele make this a great watering hole. Best in town (only in town) but would be great anyway. Hotel rooms upstairs if you have too many to drive. General store and laundromat next door. Why go anywhere else?

Our stay was for two nights. The room wasn't serviced after our first night, nor was the coffee replenished. When mentioned while checking out, we were told unless specifically requested (since when do you need to ask?) that due to many complaints of stolen items, they no longer enter the guest rooms. Our room, the "honeymoon suite" lacked shampoo and...

My buddy and I stayed here for four nights,Oct 19 -Oct 23, 2015. This is a very old building ,so if you are the type of person who only wants the latest amenities, this is not the place for you. If you want a clean, friendly, inexpensive place to lay your head at night then this is the place for...

Always an interesting place to stop and have a burger and maybe a beer! The Tap Room is a quaint little local Pub that is a gathering place for locals as well as "out of owners". The food is fresh and delicious and the prices are reasonable.

DO NOT STAY HERE ! We were going to stay in a room upstairs after a 2 hour drive and dinner. Booked room # 16 at the head of the stairs. I am a combat vet of the Vietnam Nam War & much does not scare me, but the rooms at the Tap Room are the worse I have experienced...

Stopped here last week via snowmobile...unfortunately the place was crowded with other riders. I was really annoyed that not I person from the business greeted us and made any attempt to make room for us(one table had helmets on it....put a shelf up already!!). Not going to rate the place because my buddy says the food is good..just wish that...

We stopped in after a hike to nearby Ferd's Bog. The town has a quaint feel, having been the last stop on the old Raquette Lake Railroad, off the New York Central, and the port of call for ferry boats. This is mainly a beer-and-shot sort of place, but the woman bartending listened receptively as my daughter explained how to...

The Tap Room is a true Adirondack experience. It is a small bar with a single beer (Yuengling) on tap (so the name is true!) and many other beers in bottle and the full range of mixed drinks. The food is surprisingly good and very reasonably priced. If you listen in on the conversation you will quickly know everything happening...
