Detailed Reviews
Unbelievable. Room very damp and smelly. Sheets fortunately clean. Dark. Lights in room didnt work. No hot water for shower. We were quoted a price for 2 rooms for 6 nights. Came up to salmon fish. On the fifth day they called us off the water in the middle of fishing to say they had rented the room to other people and we had to leave right then! Then they charged us for the entire 6 nights though we only stayed 5. And told us the room charge had miraculously changed. Absolutely DO NOT stay here if you have a choice. Will be reporting owners to BBB.

It was a bed and a roof. The heat was not on in my room when I arrived, and had to wait a few hours for it to kick in. The towels were stained, the TV was from 2000, the pillows were rock hard, the walls are paper thin and I could hear the person using the restroom next to me, and everyone walking down the hallway and the conversations they were having.

We originally booked a two bed room with a cot for three people. We were up here for work. When we got there, they told us to look at the 5-bed room, which obviously had a lot more room. We negotiated a price and took it.
Overall, the room was ok. If you are coming up for fishing, and staying a few nights, I would stay here. For an extended period like we did for work, I would go elsewhere.
Housekeeping was pretty much non existent. In their defense, we were working nights and sleeping days, but when they did get in there, they flew through it. A dead bug was under the fridge for almost two weeks, so it wasn't a great cleaning.
Our sheets were never washed in almost three weeks, and towards the end, they gave up on even trying to come in.
The owners seem like nice people, and got us a microwave when we asked, and worked with us on pricing for an extended stay.
ALSO, NO WIFI!!

A quaint quiet very clean motel off beaten path. Bathroom has nice hardwoods. Friendly staff and cute lobby. Easy park and steps to room. Quiet. Pool and grills and deck and tables outside with some exercise equipment and plants. Citgo gas convenience store right across the street. Country woods. Fishing town. Huge TV. Comfy beds. Nice view.

We stay at motels three times a year in the Pulaski area. The Port Lodge is by far one of the best in Pulaski. At check in the person was very polite and helpful. The room was very clean with all the items needed especially lots of towels. The bath room was immaculate with plenty of hot water. The outside was recently updated and a pleasant back yard with a great pool.We will be staying at the Port Lodge from now on.

Since this is only the 3rd review for this property, I don't assume there are wild travelers banging down the doors to this miserable hotel/motel. I had some friends staying at the local RV park so thought we'd make a weekend of it and stay here. Over $300 for 2 nights in a 4-bed room. I guess I should have negotiated before we arrived but as there aren't very many lodging options near the RV Park, I figured how much could it be? I guess they justify the price by charging large fisherman that flood this town per person as opposed to per room. The bottom line is that if you can get the room for less than $50 a night then you have paid to share with all the creepy crawlies that come out at night. Other than that, book ANYWHERE else. I understand the property has changed hands in the last year and the immigrants that took control do not have a clue what it takes to run a hotel of any sort of quality in Upstate New York or New Delhi.
We had some time to kill so used the pool one afternoon - what a dump. The playground was not suitable for my 2-year old and the pool caused everyone to get ear aches. UGH.

The only positive thing about the port large motel is the location. When I 1st went to check in The smell alone should have gave me a clue. When I got to the room I went to turn on a light it would not work, so when I went to push the button on the lamp the lamp fell off the wall. I then went in to the bathroom and the shower looked like it was falling apart with cracks throughout the floor. The fridge must have been broken because there was a puddle of water in the bottom. I checked over the beds and the sheets were stained and the pillows smelled. Needless to say if your looking for a place that's close to some great locations and don't mind where you stay or the different types of aromatics this place will work for you.

1st: Website of hotels.com indicate there is a pool available. This is not the case. At check-in I was told that the pool is not in service "this year".
2nd: It was also advertised there is free wifi available. This is not the case either. My assigned room was not in the main lodge, it was off to the side of the motel in a different area. I was told there is only wifi in the main lodge.
3rd: At reservation time, I reserved a room with 2 full size beds. When I opened the door to my assigned room, there were 4 beds in the room! I had registered for only 2 people and certainly didn't need 4 beds. When I inquired about this I was told, "we're not charging you for the extra beds". All of the beds were very close together and took up too much space in the room.
4th: Free cable was advertised. This was also not the case. I couldn't get any channels on the TV at all, but by then was tired of talking to the people at the front desk about all of these issues, so I didn't bother to inquire.
5th: Shortage of hot water making showering an issue
6th: Bed uncomfortable; my back was extremely stiff and sore in the morning
7th: With all of these problems and false advertisements, $111 seemed expensive

Been staying here for years, the current owners have done a good job of keeping this going in the right directions, I stay up on the "Hill" and first thing I noticed in the room was the new HD TV, and good to see they have new bed spreads. The owner's are very nice people and always willing to help out with whatever is needed. The only draw back is there is no WIFI in the rooms up on the hill, hopefully they work on this.

My sister and I decided to stay in Pulaski as all accomadation in Watertown was booked for the weekend. What a mistake. The room was cheap I guess we got what we paid for. The air conditioner was falling off the wall and making a loud noise all night. The room was clean and on request about the pool when we arrived the owner said if we wanted to use it let him know and he would clean it. When I went to make coffee at reception the next morning the coffee machine had not been cleaned out and I couldn't find anything so I rang the buzzer mind you it was 10am and no one was around and of course got no answer. Sorry for the inconvenience to them. Would not recommend a stay here.

I am not familiar with their pet policies but found them very friendly and helpful. They have rooms with outside access that should make it easy for pets.I would give them a call.
