Stayed 2 weeks and have absolutely nothing bad to say about it . Great staff all around , free breakfast which is very sufficient, rooms are clean and upgraded, huge flat screen TV with good selection, definitely recommend. Loved it .

We had out of town guests that paid for breakfast, and it ended at 9:00am on a Monday after a wedding the evening before. I would have expected on a Holiday weekend it would have been open at least till 10:00.am Guest were disappointed. Also...More

clean facility and a friendly and helpful staff. the location of the facility was very convenient to a number of places in the hudson valley that we were planning to visit. we felt that we were very safe in the facility.

The HI Express is about 1 1/2 - 2 miles south of the Poughkeepsie train station, not within walking distance. Not sure if the hotel has a shuttle from the train station. Have a look on Google Maps to see distances for sure... More
The HI Express is about 1 1/2 - 2 miles south of the Poughkeepsie train station, not within walking distance. Not sure if the hotel has a shuttle from the train station. Have a look on Google Maps to see distances for sure and look at the things to see in the area. The Roosevelt and Vanderbilt mansions are north of town in Hyde Park, or you can look even further north at Rhinebeck and treat yourself to a night at the Beekman Arms. Lots to see everywhere. Enjoy!
