Food is horrible travelling through we ordered room service for a full 3 course meal we got cold food uncooked congilled chilli. One word disgusting £75 later we tossed the trays out side the door Not only did the Maitre D deliver to make sure he got a signature he was accompanied by 3 training (assumption) members of staff, how... Staying here was an act of desperation as everything else nearby was booked. Should have stayed in my car. Turns out my car was cleaner and more comfortable than this joint, in far better conditon, and not in what appears to be a permanent state of repair.

Place has potential. Upgrade very much needed. Rooms are large enough for refrigerator and microwave. There is a bar and restaurant on premises that are both closed. Banquet facilities could be used for multiple events. Get rid of the tube televisions and get flat screens. I believe with a complete overhaul this hotel can compete with the Marriott, Hilton, Holiday... More

Very poorly maintained. Looks like a construction zone at the front exterior of the hotel. Wallpaper is peeling. TV is at least 30 yrs old....hotel smells moldy (like there was flooding at some point). You have seen the best pictures of the hotel on their website. Hotel needs an overhaul.

I'm sure your parents told you, "If you can't say something good about it, don't say anything. "The place is being renovated(maybe). It's not near any part of the heart (if there is one) of historic Poughkeepsie. So I'm not saying anything.

Stayed for 1 night, would NEVER go again. Wallpaper was dirty and peeling, tv had no remote or volume, toilet was wobbly, room had odd odor, had a nonsmoking room yet there was burn holes in blankets. Would NOT recommend it to anyone. NOT 3 stars, more like 1.

Booked this through Expedia's blind purchase of 3-Star Hotel in Poughkeepsie. Expedia categorized 3-Star Hotels quality as Holiday Inn or Doubletree. I am more upset with Expedia's categorizing the Hotel as 3-Stars because that description set me up for disappointment. This is a 2-star hotel. How the Hotel fell short of a 3-star quality-- (1) there are no elevators; (2)... More

We almost canceled our reservation after reading the bad reviews, but the hotel was in a convenient location and a good price, so we went. Lucky at the reception desk was charming and helpful checking us in. The lobby was nicely designed and there were photos about FDR and handsome shelves of books along the main hall. Our hall was... First off, the MOTEL (not hotel) does not have an elevator so be prepared to lug all of your luggage up flights of stairs. Staff was smoking behind the counter and there is a horrible smell throughout the hotel the minute you enter. My entire suitcase smelled for the rest of our vacation from one night at this hotel! First... More
