Super clean and quiet with kind owner. Breakfast was OK. The rooms and bathrooms were wonderful. I stayed over one night and it was perfect. Close to everything in Potsdam. I had an interview at Clarkson and it was right around the corner.

We stayed at the the Brambles Inn and Garden twice. Both times were excellent! Our daughter was competing in a collegiate horse show in Canton, NY and all the closer motels were full by the time we made our reservations. It is funny how things work out. My husband booked the two consecutive weekends in April, not knowing if our...

Pluses: Very clean, very comfortable beds, excellent food, lovely home, friendly hostess. As another traveler mentioned, the windows don't open, which I understand given the age of the home. This is a big negative for my family, as we like fresh air and need quiet for sleep. Thus the air conditioner running all night out of necessity is a detraction....

Potsdam NY is a college town, with SUNY Potsdam and Clarkson University. I am a business traveler who works in a given area for 4-6 weeks at a time. Usually, the company books me at a Best Western. For June-August of 2015, I requested to stay in a B&B in Potsdam NY and Brambles Inn and Gardens was my first...

Brambles Inn was an amazing place with beautiful surroundings. It offers just the right amount of whimsey. A break from reality with well thought out touches to made our stay effortless. The Inn is beautifully appointed with gorgeous fabrics, antiques and atmosphere. The country breakfast was delicious and filled our bellies. So much that we didn't eat again under dinner....

My teenage daughter had a hockey tournament in Potsdam and Canton (US thanksgiving weekend). When I checked accommodation around this area all the hotels were sold out. Therefore I started looking for a motel or B&B, then I found this charming inn. I stayed first night with my daughter and my husband and she stayed second and third nights. This...

I stayed here for 2 nights recently on a trip to Potsdam. The bed was a bit too firm for my taste, but the house and my room were absolutely lovely. Miss Eleanor was a gracious and wonderful hostess and the breakfast was a not-to-be-missed experience! I've never been much of a breakfast eater but I cleaned my plate both...

It's a nice bed and breakfast. The food was passable. The beds were a bit too firm. What was upsetting is that we couldn't open our windows, even though we were on the second floor. This left the room a bit stuffy. The in-window AC was noisy and not something we could sleep with. It was a beautiful late September...

Thank you for your review and we are very sorry The Brambles Inn did not live up to your expectations. The Brambles Inn was built in 1842 and is 172 years old, due to this fact sometimes not everything works perfectly. Hence, it is quite true that some windows of our inn no longer open. However, we do wish you...

We visited Potsdam on a tour through New York State and stayed at the Brambles Inn for 2 nights. We arrived a bit late in the evening and were greeted by Miss Eleanor. She was very informative about the House and showed us to our room on the first floor , the Thomas Clark Room. The room was very spacious...
