We arrived to the hotel slightly early and were willing to hang out in the dining are until check-in time. To our surprise, Karen informed us that our room was ready and we could check in early. This was so helpful, considering that we had been traveling. We planned to visit Ausable Chasm, which Karen provided such helpful advice for our adventure. She also provided a map with suggestions for restaurants to visit in the Plattsburgh area (it was our family’s first time visiting). It was so refreshing to meet and talk with friendly front desk staff at Hampton Inn & Suites Plattsburgh. The breakfast was decent. The only thing I wish that Hampton Inn & Suites could offer (in general) is a dairy free alternative for hot breakfast (my son & I are both dairy intolerant). The rooms were clean and nice amenities in the room. The only minor issue was the hot tub was out of commission during our stay. However, our family utilized the pool both days that we were there. Overall, I would highly recommend this hotel. …
The hotel was very clean, great free breakfast! Karen at the front desk is their best asset. She greets you with a smile and her attitude is everything. She answered our questions about the area. I can’t say enough about how welcome she made us feel! You can tell she loves her job! Thank you for a great stay!
I stayed here one night and had a good experience. My room was spacious and well decorated. However, I thought the bathrooms were dated and needed to be refreshed. The same could be said for the general condition of the rooms - they were clean but still felt like they could’ve used a bit more. The staff were very nice, Chris at night and the day person as well. It may be a bit more dated than other Hampton Inns I’ve stayed at, and some more care and attention to detail would help, but it was a nice and comfortable place.
Spent one night on the way back from Canada. Checking in out was quick and easy. Clean and comfortable like a Hampton Inn should be. Staff wee friendly and courteous. I highly recommend. Will stay there again if in the area.
Karen, at the front desk was awesome. She greeted us with a smile and treated us with the upmost respect. She asked how our drive was from NC. She knew we were going to my mom’s funeral and gave us her condolences. She made us feel at home. As we were going to our room, she said we forgot something and proceeded to hand us warm fresh cookies. The day we checked out, she handed us a sympathy card. She didn’t have to do this. But, it shows her character and to know she truly cares about her guests. Karen, goes above and beyond and I think she should be recognized for that. Karen treated us the same exact way in 2019 when we had to go up to NY. Karen was another reason we chose the Hampton Inn over the other hotels. Great Job! Great customer service! Great attitude! So, I will say it again THANK YOU! Todd & Christine…
We only stayed one night but it was enjoyable. We had requested early check in but they were not able to accomodate due to staff shortages but the room was ready and very clean by check in at 3pm. The hotel is very clean including the pool and breakfast area. Tea and coffee were readily available throughout the day. Lots of options for breakfast and the attendant was super helpful. Staff was great and friendly. I would would reccomend this hotel when staying in Plattsburg.
Wanting to visit Ausable Chasm, we chose to stay at the Hampton Inn and Suites in Plattsburgh a few minutes from the attraction. It was certainly the right choice, The hotel was easy on/off I87 and was close to restaurants and gas. The front desk staff were welcoming and always had a smile. The breakfast was ample and the staff made sure everything was stocked and the tables were clean. It was very filling. Our room was spacious with plenty of amenities, the bed was comfortable and lots of towels provided. Should I ever find myself in this beautiful area of New York State, I would not hesitate to stay here!
Karen, the supervisor of the front desk, represents the highest standard of the Hilton brands. Her great smile, passion for customer services, and willingness to offer the great help made us a great stay! We are very thankful for what she did for us! She is the one who made a great difference!
We enjoyed our one night stay at the Hampton Inn when traveling for a funeral. We were made to feel welcomed by the entire staff. Our room was clean, quiet, and well stocked with amenities. The hotel was easy to find and parking was sufficient at the hotel. We enjoyed a well stocked breakfast menu with cheese and egg omelets, sausage, pastries, waffles and pancakes machines, oatmeal, various cereals, juices, fresh fruit, and so much more. The hotel is undergoing renovations, but we never heard any noise. The hot tub was not working, but the pool was open. We unfortunately didn’t have time to use it this trip, but we looked in and it looked clean and was well looked after. Our bed was so comfortable that I only wish I could have brought it home. We were on the 4th floor and heard a little traffic noise in the morning but it didn’t wake us up. We will be staying here again in the future. Great place! …
This was a last minute decision and we did not have the time to check the reviews before checking in. Hampton Inn is generally a good banner, and we were happy with our stay. Clean room, courteous staff, ample free parking and decent buffet breakfast. The only issue we encountered was with our A/C unit which was not only noisy, but would only seem to be blowing cold air, while it was below freezing outside. It was too late to think someone could do something about this and we did not want to change rooms after having unpacked our luggage. I know the hotel has a hot tub, but it was closed during our stay. Overall good stay and value but I will need to check if A/C units work properly next time.
