This was the only available vacancy in the area, and now I see why. The website had some inviting looking pictures of the room/s, my room looked nothing like the photos. I like comfortable, nothing fancy, and only expect decent. Pine hill arms doesn’t even make it to my fairly low standards. The only positive remark I can make, the incredibly uncomfortable bed had clean sheets. FYI, left after the first of 2 nights, as the bed was terribly uncomfortable…no refund for the second night was given. And no breakfast, even though the website states with COVID restrictions lifted, breakfast provided.
Clean, comfortable, friendly and convenient. The owner is friendly and helpful. Hot coffee in the lobby was a welcome surprise and the restaurant/bar was perfect for apres ski snacks. Was not our first visit and will definitely not be our last.
Limited hotel options in Catskills. The location was perfect for us to attend a wedding event at Spillian. The room and the hotel were VERY clean. The bed and the pillows were a bit too soft but the bed and the bedsheet were comfortable and I slept very good. They even provided 2 pillows per person. Water pressure was good and there was no issue with hot water. There is a window AC and a ceiling fan which kept the room in good temperature. Coffee was served at the lobby in the morning and I was told that coffee was good. They even provided a razor and shower caps which are rare. Love the flower arrangement in the lobby, the vintage lunch boxes, sawing machines and tables, telephone booth. Bikes and helmets are available too. Parking lot with ample spaces across the street. Expect the room is small and rustic. Expect no TV but they offered good wifi. Expect no elevator to the second or third floor. Expect not much food option here but had a good brunch at Phoenicia Diner nearby. Also there is a thrift store ran by the community center which offers great finds with great price. Our toilet is really very tight and may not able to accommodate everyone. With all the loving cares from the owner to this property, wish there are better tissue holder and towel holder. There are really cheap ones from Walmart. Please install some hooks and shelves in the bathroom. They charged 4% fee for credit card payment. …
Just returned from a great stay at the Pine Hill Arms Hotel! We arrived about 7pm on a Thursday and found our room key waiting for us-- very easy parking across the street from the hotel in a free lot. Our room was cozy and clean with comfy beds (family of four). The next morning, we got take out egg sandwiches from the All Day Cafe very close to the hotel and ate in the lobby next to the wood burning stove (with free coffee set up in the lobby) before heading to Belleayre... just a few minutes drive away. Sounds like the food at the Pine Hill Arms Restaurant is very good, but we had actually made a reservation at The Peekamoose for that night, which was a fantastic experience. Returned to our cozy, warm room after dinner, and sat by the lobby fire again the next morning, talking with the hotel owner before we headed out. A really nice stay, and again, perfect location for skiing at Belleayre. The Pine Hill Arms feels like a charming, cozy ski lodge-- it's simple and clean, with very nice owner/management-- but if you are looking for more of a boutique hotel or resort-type place, it may not be for you. I loved it and my family and I are already talking about returning to the area again for skiing next winter and hiking this summer-- and when we do, we will definitely stay at the Pine Hill Arms!…
Came up to Pine Hill with my family for a skiing overnight. Arrived pretty late but used their contactless checking and went right up to our rooms. Both rooms were clean and nice and warm. Met the owner the next morning and he was really nice and had coffee made for the guests. All in all a good place to stay, simple, no frills but very clean and well kept.
Went with my family and had a very comfortable stay in this classic cozy hotel. The rooms were clean, the lobby fireplace was roaring and the staff was very accomodating. They also had a good arrangement for contactless check in, which was nice. We'll be back for sure!
We stayed here for two nights for a weekend ski trip. It was our first time but we will absolutely be back! This was a peaceful and relaxing stay and everything about the Pine Hill Arms was clean and welcoming and private - and we especially appreciated the well-placed hand sanitizers around amid covid-19. We sat by the fire one night and even canceled our dinner reservation for another restaurant once we sat down at the bar and saw the dinner menu in the hotel's restaurant. The food was amazing - one of the best burgers we have ever had and we loved not having to get back in the car at night to grab some good food. All in all, the price was just right and the location to the mountain can't be beat. As someone who has been traveling to the area over the last three-four years, the Pine Hill Arms is a fantastic option for your stay.…
If you want charm, peace, and a relaxing stay, please choose Pine Hill Arms Hotel. The owner was the sweetest, he made sure my friends and I felt comfortable and even provided us with Bikes, helmets and a bike rack to see Oshakon park! It really felt like I was at home. Also the restaurant next door has great food. Thank you Daniel/Voula and the whole family for an AMAZING STAY!! I will be back soon.
When doing our research for our Rail Explorers Catskills day trip, we chose the Pine Hill Arms based on some good TA reviews, proximity to Rail Explorers and price. The 3 star rating does not mean this place stinks. On the contrary, I give it based on what you get. If your expectation is for a simple room with a bathroom and NO amenities but a fair amount of charm, they would get 4 stars. But our rooms were small, spartan, had no TVs and the bathroom was tiny. The entire room was no bigger than my living room. But it did the trick. It was clean. It had AC. They gave clean towels and some basic toiletries. The old school lodge feel gives it warmth and character. They do have an on site coffee shop downstairs and it is connected to a bar. We got nibbles at the coffee shop in the morning but did not go to the bar. Again, the 3 stars is just because of the spartan nature of the place making. We would stay again - first timers, just be aware this is a simple inn.…
I've stayed here twice and honestly it's my favorite Inn I've ever stayed at. I went back the second time just to stay here again. Cozy, clean rooms with a lovely cafe open Fri-Sun with amazing pastries, paninis and coffee. Great bar and restaurant too - ask Joe about the Czech pilsner. Super super nice and friendly staff, best place in the Catskills. Will be returning often.
