Phoenicia Lodge is affordable and in a great location for hikers like myself. It's on Rt 28 in Phoenicia and very close to trailheads for many mountains on the 3500 list. I stayed for a weekend in one of the motel rooms. It was clean and rustic with a cable TV that had a built in DVD player. The bathroom...

From the minute you enter the larger house that was once an old restaurant and which is now the "lobby" you are greeted by a husband and wife team committed to making you feel welcome. I've never stayed in the cabins but have stayed in the motel rooms, which are truly darling. Breakfast is a thoughtful continental bar of organic...

Some guys with a vision bought an old motel and have very cleverly converted it into a small rural hotel. It was done with tons of thought and care. And it really shows. The gardens are beautifully looked after. They light a huge fire at night, surrounded with adirondak chairs. Phoenicia is a charming town. There are great nearby restaurants....

This is a charming, comfortable, welcoming place. The owners are really nice! The room was very clean and the bed was comfortable. I'm not sure how much my room cost because my boss was paying for it.

This was perfect for us! My boyfriend and I went for a mid week getaway. Cabin 6 is a one bedroom with kitchen. Very clean and comfy. The decor is this nifty mix of old school rustic and updated cool. Super clean. I slept like a rock and usually I have insomnia! There was a gas "wood" stove, which made...

If you are looking for a cozy and romantic getaway, and aren't concerned with frills and pampering, the Phoenicia Lodge is the place. For our 30th anniversary, we were looking for a rustic, quiet place to go where we could basically be with each other and sight see a little. We checked into the lodge and were given Cabin 1....

Just stayed here for last 3 nights and was unfamiliar with the Catskill Mt. Area. Provided with a list of hiking trails and restaurants by owner. There was cable TV & a DVD Library, wood for making a fire in the fire pit, hammocks and picnic tables on the lovely property. The autumn color in the surrounding area spectacular. All...

cabin number 1 was very quiet in the corner of the property. Backyard fire pit allows clients to socialize together in the evening. Breakfast options of the highest quality. Great coffee. Overall very good hosts.

I've been coming to Phoenicia for years and have stayed at the Phoenicia Lodge many times. It's cozy, homey, friendly, and laid back. If you're expecting a modern hotel, this isn't your kind of place. But if you like pine walls, comfy beds, clean bathrooms, an outdoor fire pit, and hosts who make you feel like friends, you can't beat...

Brian and Sara run a nice array of cabins and small motel in Phoenicia. We met many nice folks, chatted round the fire, rode bikes, and rafted down the Esopus Creek. Simple cabin living with ample services. We highly recommend.
