Pass the word! If you are in the area and need a place to stay with all the comforts of home this is the place to go. We chose Shamrock Inn by looking at the pictures and from everything we saw on line. There were no hidden features... The place was cleaner than some 4 and 5 star hotels and the owner couldn't be any nicer. Next time we are in the area we will certainly will choose this hotel or even if I don't plan on staying the night we would have to stop and say hi. We strongly recommend this hidden gem and plan on staying again.
I was running late and phoned the Owner, there was no problem with my late 7:45 PM arrival. When I pulled up to the room the owner came to the room let me in and handed me the key. The room had a cottage feel, was pristinely clean, spacious and very welcoming. We needed someplace to put a fruit salad together and where offered her back covered deck and picnic table as well as homemade muffins and coffee. The owner checked to see if we had any further extra needs and was very, accommodating. Horse Shoes, Corn Hole and a fire pit in the back yard. I strongly recommend this personalized lodging experience to anyone traveling in the area!!!!!
Pleasant cottage room. All redone. Helpful, hands-on owner, nice change from motels with unconcerned employees. We booked last room. Great value. Very Clean, inviting and new, nicely furnished, w/o carpet ( a big plus for cleanliness). New flooring. We would stay again highly recommend!
Needing a place to stay near Lake Champlain? On Rt 9 near the Lake, at the foothills of the Adirondacks, not in a metropolitan area. The owner (Anne) was extremely pleasant and accommodating when we asked if we could come a day early. The room was inviting and newly renovated (2020). All rooms do not have a kitchenette, but our daughter's room did and while we didn't cook all our meals, the covered patio behind the main office was a special treat. We had the use of it several evenings and used the grill, enjoyed the breeze from the huge ceiling fan and the large family-sized outdoor patio table and chairs. A picnic table was also in the open on the green lawn complete with a firepit and Adirondack chairs for those who want to cozy up to a late night fire and don't have to go to bed so early. Although we didn't walk over to the patio for a morning coffee, there appeared to be fresh muffins set out for those who wanted to enjoy with a cup to start their day. This motel is near to local eateries. Want to go sight seeing? The gorgeous Ausible River Chasm) is right down the road! Our room was well furnished with all the amenities you would expect...coffee maker, refrigerator, large (Roku) TV and plush towels and large shower. The rooms were VERY CLEAN as the owner comes herself to make sure all is well. We were there in the summer, so an AC was needed and the portable AC kept us quite cool and was not ultra noisy...in the early morning and even late at night, opening the bathroom window gave us plenty of cool fresh air. We stayed in the motel part, but there are a few cabins available. Motel rooms are very near Rt. 9. Cabins a bit further back. Also, motel rooms have two concrete steps up to the porch and I don't recall a ramp. If there was one suggestion, it would be the room needs more lighting. But other than that no complaints from me.…
I didn't get to stay at the Inn because all the rooms were taken. Some by my family members. I saw the rooms, and the property and EVERYTHING was immaculate. The hostess/owner was extremely friendly, letting all of us enjoy the firepit, games, and even have a Bar-b-que under the pergola. Offering anything we might need that we might have forgotten. I for one am going to stay there pending room availability, next time I go visit family in the area. She is just wonderful So refreshing in this day and age.
We stayed only one night but wished we could have stayed longer. We make an effort to stay at small mom & pop motels. Ann Marie’s Shamrock Inn is a winner!! Beautifully decorated, comfortable and welcoming. It feels as though we came as guests and left as family.
excellent place to stay short or long term. Bed was very comfortable, room was very clean. Ann Marie was an excellent host and very accessible. Thank you! Will stay here every time we visit our family in Peru.
This is a little gem tucked away. A work of love in progress with a big dream that will materialize. The rooms are new, charming, clean and up to date. Firepit, outdoor games and muffins with coffee on the weekends. Ann Marie is an energetic hostess/owner and has a passion for what she does. So if you are going to the ADK area check out here Inn it is cozy and homey. Close to Montreal (when we can go over the border again), Burlington VT, Lake Champlain, Whiteface Mt and Lake Placid. There are kayak and mountain bike rentals right down the road so what are you waiting for?
Janice is a wonderful host. Renovated rooms- beautifully done. I highly recommend staying here. The bed I slept on was so comfortable- I fell asleep quickly. As you see, ( pictures below) this room had a kitchenette complete w/ microwave.
We stayed for 3 nights and were very impressed with the work the new owner has done since March and her plans for the future. The Rooms were lovely, cozy and warm. The location is close to many things to do. The rates were very reasonable and the owner was very accommodating. There is a camp fire ring and woods to walk in. I highly recommend Shamrock in for a nice place to stay. Mark and Debbie.
