Visited for four days in October. Wonderful historic camp in a peaceful atmosphere. Loved cabin 2 with it's authentic feel and stone fireplaces. Camp location is perfect. Close to both Saranac Lake and Lake Placid and innkeepers have good recommendation for restaurants, etc. This is camping for those of us who want to camp without having to do all the...

It is with great reluctance that I give White Pine Camp (WPC) a five star rating – for purely selfish reasons. As much as I want this place to thrive, I also don’t want the secret to get out, because I always want there to be a room free for me! We have stayed at WPC five times over the...

Want to paddle around the pond in a canoe at six in the morning? Go ahead. There's no sign-in sheet, and there are plenty of canoes. How about midnight bowling? Sure, but someone will have to be the pinsetter. Feeling cold from a walk in the woods? Well light a fire in the great room, then, and have some hot...

Exceptional! We are a group of five 65+ year old women kayakers and book authors (Women on Water) who spend a few days each September in the Adirondacks. White Pine Camp - what a find!! How could one not want to stay in Calvin Coolidge's summer White House? The various cottages are clean with all the necessary amenities. You can...

What a place! We stayed in the President's Cottage and slept in the same bed that Calvin Coolidge slept in. Where else can you do that? Late October and there was decent weather and leaf change. Tim Moody, the manager is very accommodating and helpful. The fireplace with endless supply of wood was fantastic. Don't miss this tranquil gem.

My husband and I were in critical need of unplugging and unwinding and so booked 2 nights at the White Pine Camp. From the moment we arrived we were transported--back in time, to a time before cell phones and televisions and the endless pace that is our current life. For two days we explored the grounds (and nearby Saranac Lake),...

White Pine Camp was a great choice for a fall Adirondack getaway. I hope to make this a yearly tradition. Steve and Tim were so kind and helpful from the moment I called to book my stay. We stayed in the Osgood Cottage which is their smallest option. It was perfect especially given all of the choices of historic buildings...

Our stay at WPC was nothing but excellent. We stayed in the Kirkwood cabin during the beginning of September for my dad's 60th birthday. He, and the rest of us, couldn't be more pleased with our stay. WPC is off the beaten path in the northern part of the Adirondacks in the village of Paul Smiths. Expect a very rustic...

We stayed in Cabin II for five nights with our two children (6 and 10). The cabin is nicely appointed and very functional. We used one of the two fireplaces on chilly mornings. The kitchen is small but has all the basics, including a coffee pot (and filters) , toaster, microwave, etc. The only negatives were the lack of water...

From my first conversation with the Innkeeper Tim to the wonderful gentleman (Steve) whom checked us in, it was a great stay. The cabins are done very adirondack style. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The views from the dock, teahouse and boathouses were amazing. The stars in the sky at night surrounding the teahouse were magical. The property...

Built in 1907 for Archibald White, a New York City banker and industrialist and his wife Olive Moore White, an opera star, the property, which hosted many dignitaries and celebrities over the years, is most noted for having served as the Summer White House for President Calvin Coolidge.
