I've been going to the catskils for about 4 years and I've stayed at dozens of places there. Slide Mountain Forest House is one of those places that is classic catskills atmosphere. Great location in the mountains, staff was very helpful. Rooms were clean. meal was great! This is a great family-run establishment.

Stayed here Columbus Day Weekend 2016. Great resort off route 28 offers quite and real forrest feel to your stay. This location offers great proximity to top trails in Catskills. Short distance to Belleayre Beach and town of Phoenicia. Place feels and looks rustic but by far it is what gives it the charm. Lots of german beer mugs, art work...

This resort has activities for all ages, including shuffleboard, basketball, paddlewheep and pool. There are several buildings with full kitchens for large groups like the anniversary we were celebrating as well as a restaurant and a beautiful setting.

This place is a bit hard to describe. You instantly get the old world German Hunting lodge vibe, but the room #1 that i stayed in was modern and cabin combined. The History as I understood it, is this... 85+ years ago a German couple purchased some land and build a lodge/ B&B, and it's been in the family ever...

We stayed in one of the main building rooms on second floor after discovering this place by serendipity during our exploration of Catskills. On the first floor there is a restaurant but the building does not convey noise. We had a clean, small , pleasant room with nice bathroom, TV and Eastern German style decor. WiFi was available downstairs but...

This hotel had wonderful staff, a great breakfast, and we loved the old world ambience. It was reasonably priced as well. The pool was refreshing. It is a perfect location to stay if you are hiking Giant Ledge or Panther Mountain. The rooms are plain, but immaculate.

Nostalgic resort in pleasant location. Outstanding German oriented food. Handled our large multigenerational group very well. The weather helped - wonderful sunshine and mountain air. Easy access to many hiking trails in Catskills. Forst Castle a short drive as was Frost Valley YMCA.

We stayed in room farthest from main building, 2nd floor overlooking firepit. The room is huge! and bathroom seemed remodeled not long ago. All was clean and very comfortable. We enjoyed the open windows with nigh breeze. The owner was VERY accommodating to our breakfast needs and did an excellent job of making our stay comfortable. This place is 1...

My husband and I stayed here last month in the hotel. The room was very nice and clean. The breakfast was good too. Everyone working here was also very nice. We walked around the property and enjoyed doing some hikes here. The place is very peaceful but there are still a lot of activities on the property that you can...

Very well run hotel in a nice quiet setting. We stayed in a chalet apartment which is in brand new condition. Very comfortable. One of the staff showed us the hotel rooms in the main building and they were all good size, plenty of room. The restaurant was great for both breakfast and dinner. They have tennis courts, swimming pool,...
