Detailed Reviews
During our Holidays at Santorini we stayed in a cavehouse in Oia. The interior was very basic with a kitchenette. We didn't use this because we went out for diner mostly. The view is stunning and Oia is very picturesque. We rented a car but parking in Oia is very difficult. The big parkingarea is for touringcars and shorttime parking. So when you stay here you have very few parkingspots. Our car had a little damage because of the tight spaces. Very busy every night with tourists who came to look at the sunset. Sometimes when we came home from sightseeing tourists would sit on our terrace and chairs!! Nice restaurants at the caldera wit a beautiful view.

Our stay was breathtaking! George and his staff were very attentive and nice. The location and view was amazing! Breakfast was wonderful. I would highly recommend you stay there! We were within walking distance of restaurants, shops and bus stops. We also were within walking distance to hike the trail from Oia to Fira. George was very good about giving us recommendations and helping us get rentals. We rented a dune buggie for the day to tour the island. Lots to do! We are in love with Oia, Santorini!

We loved the cave houses! The only thing missing was a pool.. It was 90°+ during our stay so it was a touch warm! The location was perfect and the caldera view was fantastic. We were grateful for the quiet place to stay with an AC that had hustle. The owners were very accommodating and it was exactly what we were looking for!
Also close to Passaggio- you MUST go! It's another bonus!

Located at the start of Oia's boardwalk with a commanding view of the Caldera and coupled with the excellent personable service provided by George and his staff, Oia Cave Houses represents the very best of Greek hospitality!
Accessibility - Oia Cave Houses is near the main road connecting Oia to the other parts of the island, so getting in and out is easy. The only concern is parking (if you drive/ride) but this is the same problem faced by everyone staying in a Caldera view hotel.
Surroundings - Oia Cave Houses is just a mere 5 mins walk from the Oia boardwalk so everything from shopping to restaurants are within reach.
Premise - The room is spacious & well kept, and the facilities are well maintained. If there's anything to quibble, is that the lack of a shower curtain tend to render the bathroom wet.
Service - George is the consummate host and has an extensive knowledge of the best Santorini can offer. George also doubles as a concierge and has no difficulty in getting us the best tables on the island. And as the previous reviewer has mentioned, breakfast is amazing, especially the croissant!!!
All in all, Oia Cave Houses is highly recommended!!

I and my husband stayed at Oia cave for 3D2n. Before we reach santorini, we got msg from hotel to arrange pick up from airport. Once we reach santorini airport we are welcome by hotel shuttle.
George, who is the porter help us to carry our luggage to our room. Greatly appreciated it because it is impossible to walk down many steps with our luggage. Then about the location, no doubt we can't get the sunset. We simply enjoy the quietness, sea breeze and watching the boats passes by. Restaurants and shops easily available. A complimentary cook to order breakfast is serve each morning between 8-10am. And it's amazing. The environment was beautiful and clean, the staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful.
This is one of the best places that I have stayed, and would highly recommend it for anyone.

PROS: Great views (but then almost every hotel in Oia has a spectacular view.) Located outside the maddening crowds, so nice and quite.
CONS: Up front, probably did not read the very fine print for this hotel, but I knew this hotel does not have a pool, but the images show spas and umbrellas out front of the rooms. However, its a little misleading since these only occur outside the two bedroom suites, and NOT the one bedroom suites which I paid a premium price for. The one bedroom suites have a small balcony and no spas nor umbrellas, so sitting outside in the heat of AUG is not an option. IT was 35C/95F every day of my stay. I asked for an umbrella, but none was given. Breakfast is ordered when you check in and then delivered to your hotel room. Mine was late the first morning, holding up my day. And it's the same very morning and it's continental (no bacon and eggs). There are no staff on premises after 8pm, and the only way to get hold of them is to call them on your phone, but there are no phones in the suites, and if you do not have a calling plan on your phone when traveling, then you can't contact them. There are minimal amenities. A TV ad wifi is about it. Decor is dated.
Having met up with others and comparing notes, many of them paid much less for a whole lot more.

This small hotel is at the east end of the hotel walkway in Oia. Our initial experience was a disappointment. The taxi from the airport delivered us to the central plaza but no one knew how to locate it. We had the address and telephone but nothing helped or was available. Eventually a shop keeper reached the proprietor and he sent a porter to pick us up. We had to negotiate through the throng of people going to see the sunset to make it to our accommodations. 2 lessons--arrive hours before sunset and call ahead and let the proprietor arrange your transportation.
Once we arrived and settled in it was splendid. The 2 bedroom cave house was far superior to the one bed suite. We loved the open windows but at the same time used the air system to keep cool and avoid a stuffy feeling. The rooms were neat. The bedding quite firm. The sheets were crisp and very clean--as were the towels.
Service was immediate and personal. Breakfast was served patio side as each unit was ready--a really nice touch.
The view was beautiful from the front patio at all times of the day. The manager knew many details about Oia and could be counted on for accurate info. One caution. If you chose this or other locations in Oia on the cliff be sure you are ready to climb many steep and uneven pathways. There are few handrails and falls did occur.
This is a very nice property and persons in reasonably good physical shape will find it a grand experience.

We stayed at this hotel for 3 nights in June 2015. Right from the start, emails were answered very promptly and Katherine was very helpful in arranging our transfer from the airport. George was on site through out our stay and was very helpful with bookings etc. The property is situated in a very picturesque and quiet area of Oia, very close to the start of the Marble walk way. We stayed in the 2 bedroom cave house which was very clean and had plenty of space for the two of us. The view from our patio, where breakfast is served, was breathtaking. The living room/kitchen was huge. The bathroom has a bath tub with a shower without an enclosure. So the floor gets wet after each use. But this was only a minor inconvenience. Thank you George and team for a great stay. We would definitely recommend this property.

Pretty cool to be in a cabe house with wonderful views 2 bedrooms small kitchen and hot tub. This is a place Zi would stay if my budget didn’t allow for a netter place like Ammos Oia Mansion or Armeni Villas. It is just very tight quarters and kitchen not great for cooking like the larger well appointed places that are a bit more expensive,

I've always dreamed of going to Greece and staying on the cliff with the white stone houses and beautifully colored doors. It was just as I had imagined! We stayed at #Hector Luxury Cave where host, Giannis gives you the best welcome and recommendations to make your stay in Santorini the best!
