It is located in the most picturesque of all Santorini villages, Oia and offers a fantastic opportunity to enjoy the beauty that Santorini is. The hotel is a complex of 17 fully autonomous villas built in the traditional Santorini style (four maisonettes-suites, three apartments and 10 studios/ studio-suites).The hotel has a swimming pool with a pool bar and a small spa with a sauna and a Jacuzzi. It also has a restaurant that offers traditional Greek and ethnic cuisine and an excellent service.All suites are located by the pool and have private balconies or verandas with a panoramic view of the deep blue sea and the island of Ios, while the sun sets. Good for walkers
Places to stay are graded on a 0-100 scale. The higher the grade, the easier it is for travellers to find restaurants and things to do within walking distance.
Laokasti has a great location, a 10 or 15 minute or so walk from the centre of Oia. Out front it's busy with traffic, but once inside the rooms it's perfectly tranquil. The staff are wonderful, especially Popi the super friendly, helpful receptionist.
We took a deluxe suite (cheap by Oia's standards), which had everything we could need: spacious living room with two single beds, separate double bedroom, kitchenette, bathroom with overhead shower, and a small terrace. It was simply decorated, clean, comfortable and cool with good AC.
The pool may not have the views of the super-expensive sunset hotels, but it's a great pool, long and deep enough for proper swimming. (Worth noting that if you have non-swimmers in your party, it gets deep quickly.)
Laokasti also has one of the best restaurants we visited in Oia. I'll review this separately, but it's surprising that so few people were eating there during our stay. (Note: if you book your stay directly with the hotel, you get a 20% discount on meals.)
Overall, a really excellent experience - highly recommended.

I booked this hotel while coming up to Oia and accidentally booked wrong dates through a website. I was at the reception, spoke to the manager Popi who was incredibly helpful and nice. She helped me cancel the reservation for wrong date and book directly with her for cheaper, offered free breakfast and 20% discount on food at restaurant.
1. Initial room I got was quieter location but bed was a little too firm for me. She offered superior room which has comfortable beds (slightly interior location by the front of the hotel but that didn’t bother me much)
2. I got delayed getting back in-time for breakfast and checkout, Papi had requested the restaurant to quickly fix something for me and extended my checkout time till evening as that room wasn’t booked.
I am honestly blown away by how nice she is and the staff are.
The hotel looks a bit dated but it is clean with a kitchen (which I never used). Great value for the price paid to stay walking distance to Oia and bus stop

We stayed here as a family and would definitely recommend it. It is very conveniently located with a bus stop right outside and is seconds away from the main tourist area of Oia. There is also a supermarket next door. The staff were very friendly and helpful and arranged us a taxi to and from the airport and a reasonably priced tour to the hot springs and volcano. They were also quick at responding to our email queries before we travelled. Nothing was too much trouble and there was always someone available to help and answer questions. Rooms are fairly basic but have everything you need and the kitchenette is very useful if you’re trying to keep costs down, allowing you to store and prepare your own food and drinks. We booked breakfast, which was very good value compared to what we saw on restaurant menus in the area, and you could order as much as you liked. The hairdryer was old fashioned so I would recommend packing your own because it took me a while to dry my hair. The food at the restaurant is great and good value compared to many places in Oia. The pool area is welcoming and relaxing, though the pool was very cold in May so we didn’t swim for long! Pool towels are supplied if needed. Well done to everyone at the hotel for making our stay so memorable. We hope to be back.

I can’t say enough good things about this Hotel!! First off I will share the none personal great reasons to stay here. One it is affordable, clean, perfectly located, and authentic. The room is spacious it’s 10 min walk from the best views in all Santorini and next door to grocery etc. The restaurant is amazing and best coffee to start your day off. All this is great however here is what I take home from this location. The staff are beyond amazing. From before even staying any question I have they would reply right away. Any help I needed booking anything or arranging anything they would do no question asked. They truly made me and my fiancée feel like we were family!! I have memories now that I could never have had with out their help and will ever be so grateful!! Thank you to Bobby, Alex and his wife and all the staff for making my trip a once in a life time experience!

We stayed here for a week in August, the rooms were clean and came with all the amenities one would need for a break. The location is ideal being just at the start of the main street of Oia. All the people were super friendly and we felt safe as two women travelling on our own. I would definitely recommend this hotel to any of our friends coming to Santorini for the first time. We ate at the restaurant and it was reasonably priced and the food was delicious - the best Tzatziki we had whilst staying in Oia.

I chose this place due to its location and price. It was the lowest priced room I could get that was close to Oia. The location is pretty much right at the end of the shopping area. It's along the main road and there is a bus stop across the road. You can get the the center of town or the central bus stop in less than 10min. I stayed two nights. The room was a good size and realtivly clean. There was a bit of a odor maybe from the drain or A/C, I find this common in many places. Speaking of plumbing, they make sure to remind you that you can't flush paper down the toilet and need to use a waste basket next to the toilet. If this is how all the plumbing is like in santorini, that's fine, however when they serviced the room, the did not empty the basket. They emptied the other trash baskets, changed towels, etc though. The bed was too soft for me. I generally prefer firm/support, but some people might like soft. The towels were rather hard/old though. Floors are painted concrete I think so it doesn't seem that clean but maybe it was. It just done not give a warm/at-home comfort feeling. I wouldn't want to walk around barefoot too much. The bathroom is also very primitive. If we were in a big city, I'd give the place 1 or 2 star. For the low cost, and location and being in santorini, I'm giving it 3 stars.

My girlfriend & I came across laokasti on the night of our arrival in oia, since then we ate there every day sometimes twice a day because the food was very delicious and fresh. We tried all the pastas and they all were very good. The service was 10/10, i would definitely recommend to every 1 traveling to oia Santorini to stop in and have the great experienc. I also wanna give a shout out to Fido’s and alexia they hospitality is the best I’m definitely gonna try to be back in less than a year💙🧿.

We loved our short stay at Laokasti Villas from the moment we arrived to the departure. Everyone was so friendly and accomodating that we immediatly felt at home. Popi was a delight to talk to and shared her knowledge of the island in a tremendous way. The location is perfect, as it's right outside the pedestrian zone. Far easier to reach than the other hotels and the perfect spot to start your tour through the city. Don't miss out on the restaurant! We decided to eat in two out of three times, because it was so convenient on arrival and departure day, with the best food we had through the whole stay. Definitly a recommendation!

Laokasti villa is perfectly located, right at the entrance of the pedestrians path way. Market, just next door. Excellent service and food at restaurant. Very convenient, bus stop is in front of hotel. Breakfast included (continental)...was just like a buffet (coffee, cake, bread, fruit, eggs, juice) amazing. I would stay there every time I come back to Santorini.

We stayed her for 9 nights in August. This hotel is family run and this reflects on the vibe, very relaxed, friendly and eager to help (special shout out to Poppi on reception)! Very reasonably priced, considering where it is situated on the start of walk way into Oia, perfect. The accommodation is nice and well kept, with a lovely pool area, again, well keep. Breakfast is basic but standard fare, all in all highly recommend a stay here
