Katikies Santorini is celebrated for its pristine facilities and exceptional cleanliness, although a few guests have noted inconsistencies with housekeeping. The hotel's prime location offers stunning views and easy access to local gems, yet it might present difficulties for guests with mobility issues. Luxurious pools and a decadent breakfast contribute to the indulgent atmosphere, complemented by the staff's commendable service, despite occasional lapses.
The rooms' unique charm and romantic setting, along with luxury amenities, are widely appreciated. However, some guests argue that certain experiences, like the yacht excursion, may not justify the expense.

Detailed Reviews
We just got back from a week in Santorini and this hotel was amazing: despite the particular covid situation, the hotel managed to make our stay safe and extremely enjoyable.
Specific cleaning measures are implemented, the rooms are disinfected with anti virus products, the personnel wears mouth shields.
I found the level of service even better than before also because there were fewers guests. Everyone was really attentive to our needs, anticipating everything, smiling and making ourselves feel like home.
Of course, the hotel in itself is breathtaking, 3 pools, amazing restaurant, very good breakfast, etc.
For us it was a perfect sun break.

Truly this was one of the most special short breaks I have ever enjoyed in the delightful and luxurious yet warm and welcoming Katikies Hotel.
The rooms are light, airy, clean, well-appointed and with breath-taking views; breakfast was relaxed and delicious; fine dining in the Mikrasia restaurant with stunning vistas over the caldera was a gourmet experience; the hotel catered beautifully for my vegan gluten free daughter's dietary requirements; the amenities including three swimming pools, bar and lounging areas are excellent. In terms of the human factor, the service from charming, polite yet discreet staff was, without exception noteworthy.
All staff were excellent and I commend in particular Athina, Maria and Demetriou for their understated but customer-facing approach to guests. Memorable and highly recommended.
Thank you so very much to you all for a brilliantly relaxing few days in a demanding and busy year.

This is a stunningly beautiful hotel, completely in keeping with the Aegean architecture and the volcanic landscape. The views from the rooms and the outdoors spaces are breathtaking, the food in the restaurants is delicious, and the rooms are beautiful and spotless. However, what really places this hotel in a special league is the customer service: the staff could not be more welcoming, warm, friendly and service oriented. I‘d happily go back in a heartbeat, and I couldn’t recommend it more highly.

A true jewel among the luxury boutique hotels. Off course the prime location is already seducing, then you have beautifully desiged rooms and you have outstanding food and beverage. The small fine dining named Mikraesia could beat many of the 3 star Michelin.
We also liked the service which is combining professional attitude with warm heart and the right tonality. Bravo

My wife and I stayed at Katikies for 3 days as part of our Greece vacation. From the moment the taxi pulled up on the street above, we were treated special. We were greeted by the most warm and welcoming staff, and were shown to our room which was all the way down on the bottom - room #1 - and it was number 1 for a reason. Everything about it was incredible from the spacious size of the room, storage area, and bathroom to the incredible large patio with a picture post card view of the caldera. The beauty of this particular room was that we were at the bottom of the resort and were not looking over any other rooms. Additionally, when we walked out of the gate from our private patio area (which is walled off for total privacy and has a tall lockable door/gate), we were just feet from the pool, bar, restaurant, and breakfast area.
The resort itself is BEAUTIFUL, painted a gleaming white and everything everywhere is immaculately clean. Every member of the staff was always friendly and helpful and greeted you when they saw you. The office personnel were particularly helpful in making any arrangements we needed including a rental car which I was able to get for only 35 euros a day. The restaurant staff in the morning were particularly awesome, and after the first morning, the young lady who served us for breakfast each morning after that knew what we preferred to drink. Speaking of breakfast, it was INCREDIBLE, with a box of different cakes, pastries, cookies each day, along with 3 different jams/jellies/honeys each day, along with different "charcuterie board" that had different meat, cheeses, and greek flaky pastries. On top of all that, you also had a menu of made to order hot plates to choose from. I couldn't wait to wake up every morning just for the breakfast with the incredible view.
The bottom line is if you are visiting Santorini, treat yourself to the proper luxury and pampering (at a great value) that warrants visiting this beautiful island. This was a magical, beautiful resort, and my pictures will never be able to sum up what an incredible experience it was to stay here.

We stayed there for our honeymoon. The hotel property is beautiful and in a really nice location. After paying the amount of money we did I was very under impressed with the room accommodations especially relative to nearby options. We had the honeymoon suite and was nowhere near the nicest room I have had in Greece but easily 3x the price. There was also no gym on premise. The staff and service are fantastic. The breakfast is really exceptional and staff is always there to fix your chair or offer drinks. I would recommend the hotel but don’t feel like we got the best bang for our buck.

There was a bottle of chilled wine and several treats for us when we arrived (very good). The view from our room was amazing - pool and caldera, as well as the rest of the hotels in the area. Amazing breakfasts options every morning (basket of croissants, pain au chocolat, various breads, financiers, cookies), plus cheese and meat, jams and honey. You can order off the menu, too, if you want more/something else. Our room was always cleaned very early in the morning, everyone who worked there was very helpful and polite. Great location.

My husband and I stayed at Katikies Hotel Santorini in Oia for 7 nights in August/September 2020.
This was our first trip to Santorini and it was everything I had imagined it to be. The hotel is picture perfect, beautiful, minimal and luxurious. It felt very classy. There was one day that we had a very loud Instagram influencer come to take photos by the pool which ruined the vibe but luckily she didn’t stay too long.
The hotel has 3 pools for guests to use and in general there was no issue finding a sun lounger by the pool. The staff by the pool were fantastic.
The views are just breathtaking. We booked a Double Room which was an ok size and nicely decorated and maintained. The room has a very cute balcony with amazing views from which we would just sit and watch the sunset. The sunset views were amazing from every part of the hotel.
We had breakfast at the hotel which was always delicious. We would order from a menu but there was no limit to how much we could order. Views from breakfast were amazing again.
We had a few lunches by the pool and the food was fantastic again. Overall the service was great.
The hotel doesn’t have spa facilities but I did have a nice massage in one of the treatment rooms.
The cherry on the top was that we got upgraded to the best room in the hotel for the last 3 nights. I’m honestly not sure why, we were there for our wedding anniversary but I’m not sure that was the reason, I think it might have just been random. This room/villa was unbelievable, it was 2 floors and had its own private pool. We would have our breakfasts served on our private terrace, it was incredible! This was such a special treat but like I mentioned earlier our initial room ( the cheapest option) also felt very very special.
The hotel is located nicely in Oia and we would walk to all the restaurants in the town in the evening for dinner. We were surprised that the restaurant prices were actually quite reasonable in the town and the quality of the food was amazing. The hotel helped us with all our dinner bookings and made sure we always had a nice table reserved.
We booked a half day boat trip through one of the travel agents based in town which was very special - would recommend Santorini Yachting club for the sunset trip.
The one downside is the price of this hotel but I think this is how much luxury costs in Santorini. We’ve stayed at luxury resorts in the Maldives, Bora Bora, Seychelles, Bali, Mauritius which have much bigger rooms, grounds and more facilities for the same price or even less.

I decided to splurge for my 40th birthday as I was alone and wanted to go somewhere solo and literally live the “champagne “ lifestyle for a few days. I picked this place due to the reviews the amazing caldera views and the fact it was “single people” friendly!
My check in was painless and they even have a WhatsApp number so should you have any concerns they are at your disposal! My first room was a junior suite which to be honest was so basic and really claustrophobic and a smell was coming in. I didn’t complain as the view was outstanding but the next day I was just having a conversation with Eleni and she told me to tell reception. So I just mentioned it and said I was willing to pay for another room…well to be surprise they upgraded me free of charge I was so so touched!
The breakfast as this hotel and the staff serving really deserve a special mention they are incredible they would do anything…although I wish they told me they serve champagne for breakfast as I would have loved this for my birthday. Anyway the breakfast itself is probably the best I’ve had in any hotel so so good and the views …pictures cannot do it justice.
The concierge are amazing an do anything for you and recommend some great places. Really patient and helpful.
I have one criticism hence a four star rating..the rooms don’t scream luxury. The towels aren’t soft, hardly any space to hang anything in the bathroom which only takes a few hooks to fix. The housekeepers never replenished things like shower gel, cottons pads, coffee etc which was disappointing and rooms weren’t cleaned to a high standard. The turndown service was better and it was nice to come back to a nice ambient room.
What makes this place special is the staff everyone are wonderful so helpful and you won’t feel uncomfortable you feel like part of the family not once did I feel alone being a solo person. The cake created for my birthday was so so good I was willing to buy it! But it was created for me! I was blown away.
The location is fantastic away from the main drag but five minutes away.
The views…well it’s like stepping into a postcard. I would wholeheartedly recommend this place. It is once in a lifetime for me and something I’ll never forget.

We lost over $2000 due to their robbery of a deposit we had made months ago. The global pandemic and accompanying inability to travel necessitated cancellation of a once in a lifetime trip. All airlines have refunded our fares but this hotel refuses. We cancelled our hotel reservation (where we had chosen the room type with cancellation option) within the required time frame; but they refuse to respond to our pleas. SAVE YOURSELVES and choose a different hotel. We are devastated.

Dear Penny, Thank you for taking the time to express your concerns through Tripadvisor! We fully understand how the spread of Covid-19 has dramatically affected your life and your intent to execute your travel plans. The global travel community is trying, like everyone, to navigate this extraordinary situation. Faced with the unprecedented turn of events, the Greek state, as well as other EU countries, recently passed a law that allows businesses in the travel industry to issue a voucher instead of extending an immediate refund. If you do not redeem your voucher within 18 months from the issue date, the entire amount will be returned to you at that time. During these turbulent times caused by the outbreak of this global health crisis, we are dealing with uncertainty and risks to which we have never experienced before. Therefore, our Group has decided to make use of the above procedure in order to have a recovery period during the next months. At this point, we would like to mention that we completely looked through the entirety of our bookings and we do not have any record of a visitor matching to your profile (through the Tripadvisor username). Nevertheless, we are not impeccable and on the off chance that you uncover your contact details we would be glad to take a gander at your reservation. Yours sincerely, The Katikies Santorini team.

Hello Emma L,
Please note that the Senior Suites do not feature an open-air jetted tub, however they do have a bathroom with jetted bathtub.
Moreover, they have their own private veranda with caldera view.
At your disposal,
We stayed in the room No. 13. It had a stunning view on caldera and the city. It was a standard double room. Truly worth choosing this room. For pictures read my review of Katikies.
Hi yes most definitely. The hotel is located right in the middle of Oia, the place where all the famous postcard pictures are taken.
Hi - Katikes is right on the Caldera on the main walkway of Oia - you have spectacular views and convenience! The breakfast has avocado toast, omelettes, pancakes and many vegan choices - they are very responsive to any special needs or requests. We only ate one dinner there and it was delicious- you can’t go wrong- this is an amazing property! Enjoy!
