The staff at the hotel were so friendly and helpful. As soon as we arrived we were met and our bags were carried to the private setting where the boutique hotel is located. We met the delightful concierge team who’s showed us to our room and informed us everything we needed to know. Breakfast was delivered to our balcony each morning where we could enjoy the tasty food, whilst enjoying the glorious view over the Caldera. I’m actually terribly sad we had to go home...I’d much rather be waking up at the Ducato. I can’t wait to go back!

My husband and I loved the hotel. The team went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed, booked a car and a boat trip for us and we're always available to help. Breakfast was served daily on our balcony in front of our private pool (Folegandros Room).

The room was spacious enough for a week stay, with a seperate sitting area and one of the most impressive shower rooms I have ever seen. The view is just breathtaking, everything you go to Oia for. We could order drinks by the pool through WhatsApp messaging and all processes have been adapted to make sure we felt safe while travelling during the Covid era. Only recommendation is to add a food menu for room service as our balcony was so comfortable that we didn't feel like going to a restaurant all the time.

All in all, the hotel is highly recommended.

Ducato is 10/10 in every aspect, I couldn’t recommend a hotel more. We stayed in Sifnos at the top of the hotel (like most Oia hotels, the rooms are positioned on the cliff side so are above and below rather than all being side by side) we had an incredible view of the Caldera and also of the little island at Ammoundi which we hiked to and swam across!

The room - each room is different at Ducato which you can see on their website. We went for Sifnos for the pool and the balcony view. We had a HUGE bed and gorgeous cave bathroom. The pool was on the balcony and larger than most that we saw in the area. The view was unforgettable!

Check in - we were picked up via a transfer booked through the hotel and our bags carried for us down to the hotel. It couldn’t have been easier. Both women at reception as well as the gentleman carrying our bags (and bringing our breakfast tray each morning) were so accommodating. They set up a WhatsApp chat for us through the stay to help with booking excursions, breakfast orders and even preheating our pool! Incredible. Check out was much the same, nothing was too much trouble.

The quality of everything was far beyond anywhere I’ve stayed before. From the bespoke furniture to the high quality linen and towels, I really felt we were in a luxurious setting.

The downside? Only booking a week! We can’t wait to return and stay much longer.

I highly recommend this boutique hotel and you won’t be disappointed. The staff at Ducato made our stay at their beautiful property so peaceful and stress-free right from the start. They arranged our transfer from the Santorini airport where the driver met us and then a porter met us at the drop-off area in Oia where he carried our luggage down numerous steps into their property. Our unique room was perfect with it’s own private heated plunge pool overlooking the caldera along side a tanning day bed to absorb direct sun all day. The surrounding area is the picturesque views you see in Santorini advertisements and you won’t need to leave the property (or line up) for your Instagram photos. It was so nice to be away from the craziness of the Main Street of Oia into our own quiet private oasis. The central location is perfect and walking distance to all major areas of Oia. Our stay included daily breakfast that was plentiful and individualized to your own selections from a large menu. They cleaned our room daily which included new towels for the pool. Everyone greeted us daily and asked us if there is anything we needed. Wi-Fi was excellent and able to stream shows on device. The bathroom spacious with included shampoo/lotion/hairdryer and plenty of very hot water from shower. We hope to come back in the future to relax in this property again. “Efcharisto” Ducato di Oia!

Ducato di Oia is a special property located on the hillside. The staff were very friendly and the views were amazing.

The room we stayed in was the Syros - Deluxe Room with Indoor Plunge. The room is basically built into the hillside and most of the light coming from the room is attached to the plunge pool portion of the room which leaves the interior feeling cool & dark. This room and private terrace feels more secluded than a lot of other hotels on the hillside. You'll quickly see that you're basically walking through or right outside a lot of balconies from other hotels so felt very lucky that this wasn't the case with our room.

Very helpful staff! My partner hates paying for services he feels like he can do himself so we of course did not pay a porter to bring down our luggage. This was a HUGE mistake. We got lost along the way and must have looked like we were struggling because the hotel staff was eventually tipped off and came looking for us. Turns out they had messaged us on What's App to arrange pickup but I don't have that app. Would definitely recommend getting in touch with the hotel for pick up!!!

Breakfast was included with the room. The food was filling enough for us to start our day (variations of eggs, selection of bread, yogurt with granola or fruit, meat, juice and coffee). The best part was the VIEW that we were able to enjoy our breakfast with.

Ducato di Oia is a gem of a place, offering authentic “cave house” experience. The staff are so friendly, always asking if you need anything else. Sevi, the manager, is a true professional and committed to customer service. We were helped with arranging restaurant bookings, wine tours, excursions to other parts of the island to visit museums etc all done with a smile. The rooms are unique and have great views and most have a plunge pool, perfect for early morning or late evening dips. We stayed at Paros which we loved and also some friends were in Amorgos, which doesn’t have a pool but has a balcony with a view. Need I say more? Breakfast can be in your room, but we preferred to use the hotel’s breakfast area , which has some of the best views on the island. The sun is relentless, so keep that in mind, wherever you go, some places are really only meant to be enjoyed in the evening.
The hotel arranged our transfer from the airport and we were dropped off at the “post office” location, the last point where cars are allowed. We were met by the bellboy who took all our luggage down to the concierge office, thank God, because it’s a lot of steps! I suggest making direct contact with the hotel yourselves before arrival, so you have a direct line of communication with the concierge (who use WhatsApp extensively)
Beware: Oia is not for the faint hearted (or those with mobility issues)! Once you enter the pedestrian area, you are on the main road , brimming with shops and tourists. From there anywhere you want to go requires to walk down a number of steps - and back up again later!
Ducato rooms are built into the cliff side, so you may want to choose at time of booking how many levels of stairs down you want to go to get to your room!
One thing to note: Santorini has a lot of traffic so patience is definitely needed and building in extra time for delays when arranging taxis/transfers.
We ate at Thalami the first day ( amazing food and well priced) and Qhera Restaurant the next (a 10’ boat ride away on Thirassia island, transfer arranged by the restaurant who picked us up from Ammoudi and brought us back). Although not cheap, the location, views and delicious fresh fish/ingredients was worth every penny at both restaurants.
You are also spoiled for choice of wines on Santorini which has amazing small, local wineries. Again via the Concierge, we decided to visit a local winery for a tour and wine tasting experience. We went to Argyros Estate, the biggest of the region, and it was a wonderful experience enjoyed by all.
I could go on but suffice to say, there is much to see and do!

We had the most incredible stay at Ducato di Oia. Having just got engaged the week before, we already knew it was going to be special but the staff went out of their way to make our stay absolutely incredible. We were greeted from our taxi and our bags were taken by a porter to reception, where all of the front of house staff greeted us to introduce themselves for check in. The breakfast menu is sent to you via WhatsApp and you can choose what time you want it delivered to your room.
Our cave room was beautifully set out and nice and cool during the day and the hot tub and sunbathing area had the most amazing caldera views.
The location was the best in Oia, only a few (steep) steps up to the town centre. We would absolutely come back and are so grateful for our amazing stay.

Our stay at hotel Ducato Di Oia was one of our best experience in life. Getting there from the airport was not a problem we had a private taxi waiting outside to take us to the hotel. It is a bit of a walk as no cars are able to go up all the way, so we had a staff member collected our luggage for us to the hotel. It is only a few mins walk from all the shops and restaurants very easy access. We were greeted with 2 glasses of fresh apple juice. The service is perfect if you need anything we just send a message and it will be right up with you. The breakfast service was amazing everyday, we can pick a time for breakfast and what we would like to have as there are many varieties to choose from. We stayed at Syros suite one of the best rooms of the hotel. We had our indoor private pool and the view is incredible. The hotel is just few mins away from the Main Street of Oia. Only few mins away from the pirates castle to see the best sunset view. Overall it was the best service we received no complaints. A very special thank you to Anastasia and Antonio for being our host and did a great job. This hotel and stay was very special and memorable for us as my partner had planned a surprise proposal and both the host did their very best to make our special day so beautiful and memorable. They went out of their way to make everything perfect for us. Thank you so much and we will definitely will be returning back to the same hotel. Thank you so much from Jaymini and Anit !!

I wish the Ducato Boutique Hotel lived up to the views, uniqueness of the rooms, and the price point for stellar service. However, I walked away with disappointment, the feeling of being defrauded, and a memory of our stay that is less than impressive.

The hotel accommodations do not resemble the photogenic model images they share online. The rooms are incredibly dark with several slip hazards. Most lamps and appliances were not plugged in, causing them to easily be knocked off tables (which resulted in price gauging replacement fees). They did not specify that the private pool access was on the main walkway to the restaurant and was not so private. The bed was incredibly uncomfortable. Lastly, the daily service was only allowed to give two towels, making it difficult to enjoy the pool and shower with the same towel. We ended up buying our own.

Now the view was beautiful, there are quite a few stairs, so if you cannot do stairs, this is not the place for you. The staff was good, and they seemed to be kind and caring. When we had a dispute regarding a broken table lamp not being plugged in, they accepted the feedback, and we went on our way. They ended up holding our luggage from the vehicle service, so I was forced to return and pay their gauging price for the lamp. When asked to speak to the ‘owner’ who was making this decision, they mysteriously disappeared.

I would not recommend Ducato, and there are far better hotels and boutiques with like views. Just a disappointing end to our overall holiday that the hotel drove.

I had such an amazing stay here with my fiancé!! Our room (like all rooms at the Hotel) had spectacular views of the caldera. Upon our arrival, the Hotel had arranged for a beautiful bouquet and a bottle of champagne to be in our room, since we were celebrating my birthday. Our room, the Naxos suite, was intricately designed with unique features and it had an oversized cave-like bathroom with a two-person shower. But the best part was the outdoor pool which was private and very romantic! And the breakfast each morning was simply delightful. The staff was SO friendly and accommodating at all hours and they really went out of their way to tend to our every desire. We could not have asked for anything more and we will definitely be back!!

My advice would be to not stay in Antiparos. See my review for reasons why. From what I could tell the Paros suite is the jewel in the crown but priced accordingly I would guess.

We grabbed a taxi for 35 euros. I recommend you contact your hotel and have them set up a pick up service. Hope this helps.
