This is a beautiful seaside resort...it is better to eat in a seaside restaurant than to picnic on the rocky beach. No sand on the beach, only rocks ! The menu is excellent and so are the rooms. It is all very clean and beautiful .

We had a wonderful lunch on the boardwalk at Etretat. We each had a giant pot of mussels and they were delicious. My husband also had a platter of oysters that he thought were terrific. We noticed that other tables ordered large platters of mixed seafood (oysters, mussels, clams, etc) which were served on tiered serving platters. Although service was...

Very nice location on the beach front and although paid lots of money for the room received room on the back of the hotel overlooking other building ugly roof. Rooms are modern but small with nice fitted bathroom. In whole Etretat doesn't exist even 1 food shop so was glad to take breakfast although was very basic: croissant and jam...

We only stayed 1 night to see the cliffs. Had some trouble finding the spot and as far as parkingspace goes, we got lucky. Since high season was over it's a little easier. Rooms are small but have everthing in them you need for a shot stay. No elevator can be a problem if you have trouble climbing stairs. reception...

Restarurant of Le Corsaire in Etretat was awful! We dined in this place two nights ago (our family of 6) and all got sick after dining here. ! They did not have heater for us even though we asked! The food was undercooked. Waiting time was long and the crêpes were not cooked at all. I will never dine at...

Ok, so parking in Etretat is a nightmare - that's not the fault of the hotel! We arrived stressed after struggling to find the hotel with our satnav and giving up on parking nearby. Etretat seemed full of people and we were wishing we had chosen a different town. But we were given a friendly welcome and loved our sea...

We stayed one night in this hotel on the last day of July 2012. It was a nightmare to find a parking place nearby early afternoon, but eventually someone left a spot when my husband drove around, and I stood in it like a statue, fencing insults from other motorists, until he came seconds later to park. We fed the...

I'm cheap and wanted to stay in The Detective or the Salamandre, both look really cool. Wife loves the ocean views and I (stupidly?) asked her which of the 3 she preferred. So we booked two nights on a seaview balcony for 412eur, ouch! Arrived around 1400h on a Friday afternoon in July. First note - there's not much parking...

I want expecting much to be honest. At 80€ a night for a double looking over the town not the sea. It had 2 stars and don't feature much in searches. But I was desperate and had to book. Lovely clean room with a surprisingly nice view over the town. All recently renovated with wonderful hot showers. Breakfast is yr...

Charming hotel with local flavor. We booked 2 rooms, one with sea view (window, 3rd floor), that we stayed in, and one with sea view (balcony, 2nd floor) that our friends stayed in (only one balcony was available when I booked). Our room was just fine and cute but theirs was beautiful with the balcony and fancier bed. But the...

“Get a sea view room, with balcony. Room on the 3rd floor with just a dormer window was really warm in June (and couldn't open windows until dusk after gnats left) and I don't think there is air conditioning, just natural air.”
