Good food on terrace with panoramic view of Ceze valley. Restaurant is situated in medieval village of cornillon which is worth a visit in itself. Food is good, as is wine. Menu not extensive but more than adequate To satisfy most palates. Wine list similar with Ok prices. If busy service can be a little slow but with such a...

Absolutely superb - as I recall from my previous visit twenty years ago, the setting is stunning and all aspects of service immaculate. We were there for Sunday lunch as a special treat, myself being hosted by a local couple who have been close friends for thirty years now. They selected this as the centrepiece of my holiday of fine...

We go to La Vielle Fountaine for dinner several times every year. The same family has owned the restaurant-hotel for over 25 years. The welcome is always warm. Once again, we were not disappointed. The mussels, stuffed and stewed in a spicy soup, are my favorite. I had pork chops - actually just OK. My wife had the grouper which...

The standard of food is excellent and there is none to better it in the area. The view from your table right across the valley (ask to be on the terrace at the front) is far and away the best of any of the restaurants and lends the dining experience a real sense of holiday magic. Hence the reason we...

My wife and I stayed at this lovely hotel 8 years ago and decided to go back this summer for 3 days. It hasn't lost any of its charm. The owner is a delightful and helpful lady and makes her guests feel very comfortable and welcoming in her home with traditional French hospitality and 'correctness'. The hotel itself is beautiful...

We were hesitant about booking the La Vielle Fontaine beacuse it was out of the way and we found few reviews. Plus, all of our inquiries were answered in French and we are not fluent. But we could not have been more delighted. We only wish our French was better so that we could have learned more about the surounding...

As we were driving through the south of France we spotted this hotel atop a cliff in the northern Provence region in a little town called Cornillon. The hotel is wonderful. It's small (only eight rooms; I think). It sits very near to the ancient ruins of an old medieval fortress. The hotel and the pool have an incredible view...
