Appalling and would never recommend this hotel to anyone. First impressions do count and what a nightmare. The owners are not credible. So beware before you book into this place. Not Queen of Sheba at all. Don't be conned like we did. A total misrepresentation of the rooms.

Originally I planned to stay at this hotel. When I finally got into it, I did not expect anything extraordinary. Three-star hotel, which is on Zanzibar lot, I thought. But I must admit that I was wrong. Queen of Sheba Beach Hotel has a very pleasant atmosphere of a small friendly hotel. Spacious rooms with good views (although the bathroom...

My friend and I were so pleased when we arrived at this hotel. It is just beautiful and so peaceful. We had the beach to ourselves for most of the day. The staff and owner were all so friendly and helpful. We decided to stay on site in the evening but we were told that there was a night club...

We stayed at the annex of Queen of Sheeba Beach Hotel for one night. We intended to stay three nights but it was not a nice place. Very expensive for what you get. The rooms are nice and clean but the hotel in itself is just weird. It is like a small gated community and when the tide is high...

Small and friendly, we stayed here with our three children (9, 9 & 7). They have had the best beach holiday ever! The pool is perfectly sized, not too big, not too small and the Indian ocean lovely! you can easily swim and there are trips available to snorkel on the reef (which you could walk out to if you...

We stayed at the hotel for a week this December and it was absolutely fantastic time! The hotel room was clean and spacious with all necessary equipment, the food (especially breakfasts) was delicious :) The best thing about the hotel that made our stay exceptional is the hotel crew! They took care of everything for us - trips, parties, sightseeing,...

We were staying in the hotel next to the Queen of Sheba. We decided to try the food. We arrived and felt uncomfortable from the first second. We ordered drinks, they arrived and were not what we ordered. We didn't complain. We ordered food, they had almost nothing on the menu available. So we ordered what they had. Beef curry....

After we had a look at the room, fixed the price and paid everything we were told that they lack clear water and that water in the bath rooms are salty. Good to know AFTER we paid and booked everything. After having a look at the lovely beach we got to know the owner of this hotel and we were...

In February we moved from Paje to Pongwe to have three last wonderful days at an wonderful beach. But it wasn´t. When we arrived nobody came to help with our luggage. It was hot and we had to fill out same document. No welcoming feeling. :-( Than my husband carried 2 big backpacks and another bag alone to the room....

“I would recommend you to chose a place with a swimming pool. I know it can seem silly but the tight in Zanzibar is low most of the day (between 11am and 2/3pm) so if is always nice to have the possibility to refresh yourself during this period. Spend $10 or $20 more per night might change your entire holiday. In fact in Zanzibar you spend most of your time in the hotel/resort you have chosen so you better chose somewhere you won't be disappointed about. Don't look too much at the pictures but focus on the reviews ;-)”
