From the moment I arrived, I felt like a guest not a client. There was nothing that the staff could not do for me. I had the best week seeing great sites. I felt like I was leaving family when I left.

Kilimani Kwetu is brilliant; such a lovely, calm, peaceful, tranquil, idyllic, friendly and hospitable place. We have just returned from a week there (Dec 2011/Jan 2012), as part of a two-week holiday in Zanzibar. We stumbled upon Kilimani Kwetu just before New Year, when rooms in Bwejuu were scarce, and we were very luck to bag a room there. Clemens,... More

I had a delightful stay at Kilimani Kwetu. The property is really small, only 4 bungalows very close to the beach. There is also a restaurant and a lovely beach bar. If you are looking for luxury this is not the place for you, the rooms are small, no AC, pool or hot water. I don't really care about these... More

We spent one week there after our safari on the mainland. It's a great place to relax. The bungalows are basic but comfortable and clean and as you only stay there for the night there is no need for more. We especially enjoyed the beach area with its comfy beds, hammocks and a nice beach bar...it's really well done...and the... More

Wonderful little gem, on the east coast of the island. Our four days were wonderful and idyllic. A very relaxed vibe, and very good value for money. The beachside bar and restaurant was a perfect place to chill and enjoy the beautiful beach. I highly recommend this lodge.

I spent 3 nights at Kilimani Kwetu and thoroughly enjoyed it. The people were lovely (staff and guests), really enjoyed the dinners together, the beach is peaceful, lots of options to organise excursions for the day or to just relax. The rooms are simple but clean and comfortable, we only had cold water but given that it is so warm... More

During our stay on Zanzibar we discovered the perfect spot with a wonderful beach, nice German owner and new and very personal bungalows. Unfortunately it was totally booked out during our time. Nevertheless, we manage to have a couple of meals there: fantastic local chef, fresh food, you can tell them in the morning what you fancy and they will... More

There are hundreds of nice hotels in Zanzibar-- many fancier and more elegant than this one, with swimming pools and luxury amenities. But if you want a simple, low key holiday with nice clean rooms and decent food, and great low key service-- this is the place for you. It also has a terrific beach side cafe. We liked the... More

We stayed at Kilimani Kwetu for almost a week with a big group. We had rented all bungalows available for a sensible price and it was no problem at all to fit more than two into each of the huge beds. We had excellent food, fresh fish every day, and something for our vegetarians as well. The beach is close... More
