This self-catering studio is just awesome :) It is very clean and very well equipped - everything you might need is there - even the washing machine (!!!). And the hosts - Alex and Marlene are the best - they are very kind and helpful - they treated us like family. We had really good time in Mahe thanks to them :) Also the view from accommodation is beautiful - it is not the sea view, but mountains, but very beautiful.

We had a wonderful time at the La Gayole Guesthouse. The hosts, Marlene and Alex, are such lovely people. The hospitality was the best we have experienced throughout our whole stay on the Seychelles. The apartment was spick and span. If we needed help or had any questions we could always count on the them. We even had dinner and drinks together some nights. Felt like being part of the family. We are looking forward to come back one time!

I stayed in La Gayole five years ago and had only the best experiences. So naturally, when I returned to the Seychelles with my partner this year, I went back to La Gayole. And what shall I say?! We had a fantastic time in this cute, little apartment - all newly renovated and very clean. It's fully equipped (kitchen, washing machine, furniture...) and if anything had been missing or broken, the hosts would have fixed it in an instant. When we arrived the fridge was filled with food and freshly made lemonade from lemons grwoing in their garden. The apartment is situated in a very quiet and peaceful neighborhood appr. 10 minutes from the next beach by foot. However, the host offered us rides to and from the beach/town every day (we didn't have a rental car)! In the few days we stayed there, our hosts invited us for freshly cooked dinner and drinks multiple times - we had grilled fish that was just brought in from the sea, chicken, delicious vegetables and sauces... If this wasn't already enough, our host offered to help us organizing our trip even after we left Mahe with accommodation on other islands, car rental etc. and said we could call him anytime we need help with anything. One could relly feel, that La Gayole is run in a way that visitors feel not only welcome, but home where they can have a very relaxing time and get an insight in Creole life and culture. Long story short: 5 Stars +! We will come again!

Room was perfect,owners very friendly and helpful but even we had booked for 11 nights we left at 4th. The reason was that in the neighbourhood there is a permanent problem , dozens of dogs barking unstoppable during all day and night and is impossible to relax and sleep!

This studio flat is a perfect base for a couple wishing to spend a week on Mahe island as it offers all mod cons including a gated parking space for a hire car. The house is based in the hills above the Beau Vallon beach close to Le Meridien Fisherman’s Cove. It is recommended that you hire a car as it is quite a steep walk up the hill to the house. The host, Alex, is the best. He gave me a ride to the local supermarket and did everything to ensure that the place was in tip top condition.

Fantastic hosts, very friendly and helpful. We felt most welcome and Alex and Marlene went above and beyond to make our stay very relaxing. Kitchen, bathroom and the room were spotless. You have all the appliances in the kitchen including washing machine and there are even tea towels! Previous comments mention dogs barking but we stayed there for four nights and didn’t hear anything. It looks that whatever the issue was it has now been dealt with. They don’t have any dogs of their own. Just a lovely tortoise. It is a nice quiet place, 10min walk from a very nice beach and close to the bus stop. Supermarkets and take aways are close to the beach so all within walking distance. Great value for money, we didn’t miss anything and everything was just perfect! When we come back to Mahé we will definitely stay there again!

What an incredible experience with La Gayole. The warm hospitality extended by our hosts, Alex and Marlaine is unparalleled. The cleanliness is superb and though this might be a clichè, the place is literally a home away from home. They invite you for drinks to make you feel welcome. They also helped arrange a car for us. Hi Laurette! 🤗 My luggage arrived late so I literally only had the clothes on my back. Marlaine generously let me borrow her apparel. 😅 We would be very happy to have another experience in Seychelles and would definitely stay at La Gayole.
