The small village of Tarrafal at the "Punta de Atum" is still a sleeping beauty. A mysterious hideaway situated directly on the sea - one of the most beautiful places in the middle of the Atlantic. The sea is always warm here, the weather mostly beautiful and the days are accompanied by a healthy, refreshing ocean breeze. The eco-boutique hotel "King Fisher Village" has 3 apartments, 4 studios and 21 double rooms - each with terrace or balcony and equipped with sun chairs to enjoy the beautiful sunsets. Since May 2021, the King Fisher Village has been generating its own electricity through solar panels and there are plans to become even more sustainable in the future. Located directly by the sea, the King Fisher Restaurant spoils you with local culinary delights. Here you enjoy the extensive regional breakfast. In addition to the "à la carte" offer at lunchtime, we serve a high-quality 3-course menu every evening. The local crew presents a local and modern cuisine, with selected seasonal products from the region and our own gardens. The seawater infinity pool invites you to sunbathe and linger. We serve our homemade hibiscus caipirinha right up to the sun lounger and the quickest way to cool off is to jump straight into our King Fisher Bay. Snorkelling, diving, hiking or even biking are wonderful ways to switch off and enjoy the unspoilt nature.

King Fisher village is a beautiful, well managed hotel with a stunning view. You don't even need to leave the room / balcony to enjoy the sound of the waves, the dolphins playing in the sea and the sun on your skin. And there's the food....as a vegan it's not easy to find a Hotel (in the middle of nowhere and also everywhere else) with good vegan food. Flavio did a great job and I was amazed every day about the magic the kitchen crew performed. I have travelled a lot but this was the best food I've had in a Hotel so far. Fresh, made with love and yummy. We have loved everything about this Holiday and I would definetly go back!!! Thanks to the amazing staff, we felt like home away from home.

Dear Suzano - you were at King Fisher Village a year ago in May 2021. We have since built new rooms with intelligent ventilation systems. We have as few air conditioners as possible, because as an eco boutique hotel we rely much more on a good ventilation system. We have different categories. Ask us for the ideal room for you on a next visit. Our staff are all local and know the island, excursions and the area very well and can give you information about this. For questions such as flight connections, ferries or political situations, it is best to contact our management.

If you look up Utopia in the dictionary, you will see a picture of King Fisher! You will not be disappointed with the location, staff, scenery, food, and overall experience. I even left my beat headphones and the staff found them and got them back to me. I will return!!

The king fisher village is a beautiful well managed hotel with a great infrastructure and own sea access. The restaurant really good, very tasty food especially the Bowle with tuna and the fish menus are my favorites. I can definitely recommend this place, which is a good starting point for hiking, biking, scuba diving or just enjoying the beach.

We spent a total of 2 nights there and everything was great from the beginning. We got a transfer that was on time and drove us to the hotel. Our room had a fantastic view but the whole hotel is on a cliff so you get the best view wherever you are. They arranged for us a hiking tour to Serra Malagueta which was super nice and well organized. The breakfast was fantastic and you could see them taking the fresh fish from the sea, which was later prepared for dinner. The staff and especially the operations manager Pedro were great. I left my Apple Watch in the cab on the tour. They managed to find it and send it to another hotel where I spent the last night before going back to Germany. I really appreciate how helpful he was from the first moment. Again, a big thank you. I would definitely recommend it!!…
