Upon our arrival we weren't greeted when we walked in to check in. No one introduced themselves and my son and I felt that we were a bother. I tried asking where the rafting company was, and I got a smart answer. I was not asked how I wanted to pay the rest of my stay, he just ran my...

Our Ski Club had a pleasant weekend @ the Black Mountain Lodge. The staff was very accommodating to our 40 members! The Lodge is located very close to Gore Mountain. The Shuttle does not stop here normally, but you probably can talk the driver into dropping you off ;) The rooms were very clean & comfortable. The rooms are Adirondack...

Drive up Lodge was in pleasant setting Food and bar was surprisingly good even excellent (had the Rueben-toasty perfection ) . Lots of craft brew. Room was smallish and slightly rustic but clean. We weren't planning for much time in the room but were there for fun and skiing at Gore. Place was perfect for that, and you are close...

I have to say that our baby got sick and we had to cancel staying here and they were so nice and took care of everything with the cancellation. Our friends still went and stayed here and said it was clean, comfy and one of the best places they have stayed while skiing. We will book again soon and look...

I stayed a few days off-season (in late Oct.) and found the place to be a great value (super-inexpensive), clean, comfortable, with very nice staff and a good bar/restaurant as a bonus. It's not unlike many older motels in the Adirondacks. They are a far cry from Westins or Ritz-Carltons, so you have to keep expectations realistic. I paid less...

Wings were phenomenal, just like buffalo. Burger was freshly made and the French fries were huge. The bar screams Adirondacks and very clean and updated. You can tell the owner takes great pride in this business. The rooms were very clean, lots of wood, cedar accents that fit the mountain appeal.

What a great jumping off point for the Gore area and the High Peaks to the North. My second time staying at The Black Mountain Inn. Mark and staff are always accommodating. We found our rooms clean as expected and what I love about them for an hiker or skier is that they are spacious for all your gear organizing...

Upon arriving, there was a pile of black hair in the bathroom sink and a very strong odor in the room. We were later to discover that there was no hot water or heat. When we complained about it, we were told that someone was coming to fix it, but it never happened. Ours was not the only room with...

Though I apologize for your unhappiness with our lodge I take exception with the condition of the room specifically the presence of black hair in the sink and blood as you call it on the bedding. I personally stripped the bed completely the next day and absolutely no evidence of anything red was found. As for the black hair in...

We stayed at the Black Mountain Lodge last weekend with a large group of friends and it worked out great! They couldn't have been more accommodating to us! We booked almost every room at the place. The food in the restaurant was amazing, the prime rib especially was fantastic! The owners went out of their way to make sure that...

I happened on this lodge last year for our event. It was everything we were looking for to accommodate a large group of people. Very clean rooms with nice Adirondack style furnishings. The rooms are toasty warm. The lodge has restaurant/bar that is attached. We received great service and delicious food, along with entertainment that night. To top off the...
