I took my boyfriend here for his birthday . They give you some ghost hunting equipment and explained how to use them. They also give some history about the hotel and they have a book with newspaper clippings . He loved it and wants to go again!

Went with several friends and had a great time. We went there knowing we were not going to a 7 star hotel. We were greeted by two of the investigators upon arrival. They explained a lot of the history of the hotel. And explained what to expect over the night. They had light snacks, coffee tea, hot chocolate and water....

Hotel is a great historical landmark, however it could use some aesthetic work on the outside. Arrived a little early, the hostess/coordinator got there late (her words). Theresa's face might have cracked had she attempted a smile. Neither one not personable or professional at all. Room not attractively decorated; cheap, contemporary junk which disappointingly did not coincide w/the age of...

But left early the 2nd time. It bothers me to write this review in the wake of Sal's passing. Stayed the first time with my wife. Met some folks that I have continued to keep contact with and had an absolute fantastic time. I still have the evp's from the bordello, unreal. I took my son who was 12 on...

Stayed at the Shanley last weekend with a group of friends. We enjoyed our time there. Is it haunted? well here are some of the things I personally experienced. I had Anna's room in the bordello. I wanted to go and check it out alone so I went in and was recording a video as I walked up the stairs..I...

I'm pretty sure that anyone who doesn't believe in ghosts hasn't yet stayed at The Shanley Hotel. I've been twice now, and while the second time was nice and quiet, my first visit was full of activity, spirits speaking through devices, EMF readings spiking, temperature changes, flashlights turning on and off, etc. Aside from the activity, the hotel very comfortable,...

Could have been a great overnight for my friends and I. The hotel is creepy and clearly full of history. The sad part is that it is run horribly. We were not greeted at the door, we had to wait to be assigned rooms, the investigation started late, the staff was unprofessional. You can't drink or eat in your rooms...

Stayed 3 nights in this so called hotel, the first night 7 ghost investigators got drunk and had a massed brawl, the second night I heard giggling outside my bedroom door and upon investigation just out side on the floor was a freshly laid turd but the perps had fled. I checked out early never to return
