The hotel was very spacious, breakfast was excellent, the beds were comfy, and the staff was great. Very close to amenities including the casino, the waterpark, as well as shopping centers like old navy, marshals, and food shopping like walmart and shoprite. Thank you for adding a great addition to Monticello! Will definitely be staying here again
I'm going to make this a bit longer than usual because while clean and quiet, I was expecting a little more from a brand new Hampton Inn "Version 2022". As a family we checked in for a summer-end get-away. I love new hotels. I seek them out and will always look for a newer establishment over an older one barring few exceptions. The hotel is not a Suite hotel though. Only regular King or 2-Queen rooms. there are the usual clean and soft beds, clean bathroom with blow dryer, ironing board and iron, etc. Here is what I especially like: Hotel is across the street from at least four eateries. The area is adjoining a Shoprite and Home Depot and a large Walmart Superstore. The hallways are clean and have the new carpet smell. Entrances from the center of the hotel and the two ends (with room keycard) so you can get to your room without encountering the lobby via a stairway. The hotel has a ground floor and three additional floors so if you want the higher floors request the 4th floor. Rooms: Room decor is quite modern and sparse. No couch or recliner only a business chair at the desk. The King rooms do have a lounge chair. No hotel brochures or area guide, not pens and pads. Might be because of the hotel being too new. Room A/C worked very well although I'm not sure why hotels in 2022 are still using units that sit at floor level and blow on the nearby bed. A more comfortable option needs to be found - and won’t be soon enough. I'm not a big fan of hermetically sealed rooms! Not at all! Why can't we have hotels with windows that open? And balconies? The prison like mentality of the franchise hotels with this issue is a real pet peeve and is bothersome. Please, PLEASE Hilton - be the first to break this mold and show us you know how to work out of the box. Cleanliness was quite good although not excellent. I look at the shiny surfaces to see how they were washed. I KNOW I’m not alone. There were way too many smudges throughout the room which causes one to wonder how well the other surfaces were cleaned. The room felt clean and smelled very clean. I guess you can’t spend two hours per room so I’ll give then a break with this. Note to room designer: What great advantage was accomplished with barn-style sliding door that doubles as a bathroom door and closet door? And no lock at all? For one the door is heavy and requires effort to slide back and forth. One of the children was actually trapped inside the bathroom and called for help to leave. I’m just worried someone shouldn’t injure themselves with all this heavy back and forth sliding. No locks? Is this also something we should look forward to in all new hotels? I really fail to see the reason and don’t even want to know. Amenities, shampoo, etc. are well provided in large multi use dispensers, except our conditioner was empty. This did not happen when we used to be provided with fresh mini bottles of product. And more importantly, how safe is it to provide guests with large reusable bottles of product? Any silly child can put who knows what into those dispensers and leave a practical joke for the next guest. I vote for having the small one-use shampoos brought back in the name of safety and hygiene. Shower pressure was not great but adequate. No tubs exist in the hotel I was told. Our hospitality industry is being wrongly targeted first with all Green initiatives which only hurt a traveler away from home and in need of a good warm bath... We had 1am guests shouting in the hall, sounded like a drunken party. Not sure if this is a general indication of the area. But it only went on for a minute. Check in clerks were courteous and knowledgeable, but honestly I'm not sure that body piercings other than earrings and visible tattoos; are a Hilton trademark - it's actually the first of such a Hampton Inn experience I encountered. A dress code at reception is important to most guests i would assume. Not sure what to make of this. Again very kind and professional, but I must be from another time... Finally, the interior of the room door has a PSA describing "slave act or commercial sex" as one of the items a guest should call a hotline if they are being forced to provide. Not a welcoming feeling for a family trip at all. Wonder which law was passed to mandate this. Sign of the times. All in all an adequate Hampton Inn. It's newness is a big plus but I wish there would be some real change in how these boxes are built other than a slight shift in the decor and the furniture colors every few years. I would give a 3-4 but the newness right now and especially for this area is the saving grace. P.S. Business center had no computers - only two empty desk areas and a printer. Again, might not have arrived yet. Just bring your own for now.…
beautiful hotel! it is brand new and the cleanest hotel i have ever stayed in. the breakfast is top notch, and the service and staff were outstanding. we will definitely be staying again the next time we are in the area.
Tucked behind a McDonald, it is tricky to find. Once we did, the welcome from the staff was exceptional. They made sure everything was just right, and even changed rooms so we could stay together though the hotel was full. The breakfast was more sumptuous than I have had at any Hampton Inn. This is a brand new property, so if you are sensitive to new 'smells' be aware.
This is a brand new Hampton Inn. It is bright and modern. Bed and pillows were comfortable. The only negative for me was the barn door which slides to cover either the closet or the bathroom. There seem to be strong magnets in either end of the door to aid in its closing, however, this made it difficult to open. The cutouts for the handholds were not deep enough to get a good grip on the door to open it from inside the bathroom. I stayed in another Hampton with the bathroom barn door and they had deeper cut handholds and no magnets which made the door easier to open and close. Otherwise, we really liked this hotel and would stay here again.
Staff (Leia front desk, Alma housekeeping, and Gina breakfast) were more than just professional and competent. They made us feel comfortable immediately, like they knew us already. Definitely one of our most enjoyable hotel stays!
Monticello NY Hampton is Another Typical Hampton inn . They are all pretty much the same with Great service , clean rooms, clean pool and great breakfast..located behind a shopping plaza with a grocery , Marshalls ,Taco Bell and a beer store in walking distance.
Pro- hotel is new and clean Con- upon arrival I was asked if I would like a complimentary bottle of water? Yes, can I have one for my husband? No, only one per room. I stepped away to let other customers check in. Then asked why would only one bottle be given when there is two of us? She said fine here. After walking away the general manager Jennifer Haberle came out of her office and scolded the front desk employee. Saying only give out ONE bottle of water no matter what!!! I felt bad for front desk young lady. I hope GM realizes this is not how you greet guests!!!!
New place only 3 weeks open. Mr Patel and family you made an awesome place. Just beautiful and your staff was awesome. Pool wasn’t open yet due to the builder having difficulty getting supplies, but you were able to use there other property at best western. Already booked for October.
Stayed one night here to attend a local concert. This is a new hotel located within 25 minutes of Bethel Woods. Hotel is located near a grocery store and multiple food places including Subway, Burger King and McDonald’s. Check-in and check-out process were a breeze with the Hilton honors app. Room was ready by 3:30pm. Beds were very comfortable, large flat screen tv, and mini fridge and microwave included. Complimentary breakfast was plentiful with waffles, eggs, cereal and pastries. Staff was friendly and courteous. Would definitely stay again!
