My family recently stayed at The Kartrite for my son’s birthday weekend. There wasn’t one thing I was satisfied with. The cost is extremely high. Every inch of the hotel was dirty. Our room (shower curtain covered on hair, food remnants under the bed, crumpled tissue on the heater), common areas (people would leave trash everywhere and it was never picked up, all public restrooms were also dirty) the waterpark (more trash left everywhere and the mats for water slides had black mold on them, employees were pulling random socks and clothes out of the lazy River) We visited in February and it was freezing. The waterpark and our room were cold and the heat was hard to adjust in the room. We had reservations at one of the on site restaurants (Harvey wallbanger) and that was also a large amount of money spent for a loud environment, slow service and cold food. …
Took a trip here for my sons birthday paid for the package to include room decorations and extras nothing was setup. The front desk was unreachable on the phone. The food was undercooked and underwhelming. Was looked over and discriminated against when trying to engage in activities. Most activities where over priced. Arcade and prizes where impossible to obtain. Waterpark was freezing even though they advertise 85 degree weather inside. Heated pool was very dirty.
The waterpark is good... especially for a winter trip but definitely expensive... Now let's talk abt restaurant and food service 1- ordered wine bottle at bar...and it took more than 45 mins to give a bottle... 2- ordered pizza and fries for kids and it took more than 1 hr. to get.. 3 - The server was extremely rude and careless... To get her attention we have to ask other servers and then those servers used to tell her and then only she used to come to us.. 3- pizza toppings were incorrect...never asked for pepperoni but got pizza with it and then replacement of pizza took another 1 hr... Finally we got that pizza in room and ultimately thrown away as everyone ate some chips from wending machines...
I was at the Kartrite as part of a weekend retreat organized by MYS Events with my kids, they had an amazing time, they couldn't get enough of the waterpark but needed to make time for the arcades anyway, the room selection is amazing for families with multiple kids.
My family went for a weekend It was a really nice atmosphere, the kids had a fun time by the arcades and especially the water park it was truly amazing. What tipped off the whole weekend, was at the Bar TANYA was truly amazing she went out of her way above and beyond to truly accommodate everyone and it was always with a smile. (nothing was a big deal it was always sure, and will make it with a smile, TANYA is truly amazing) it wasn’t only me that said that she’s amazing, everyone that was at the bar at that time said that. They got a really good worker and they should make sure they don’t lose her because it really made it a nice atmosphere and worth the stay. Also a shout out to Brait he was also amazing.
Just returned from an amazing trip to Kartrite Resort & Waterpark with my family of 5 and would highly recommend! Such a fun and easy experience with everything you could need on site for families with kids of ALL ages! The hotel and accommodations were beautiful, comfortable, incredibly clean, and very spacious. Our kids had the best time at the Water park, It had SO much to offer for all swimming and comfort levels: tube and mat water slides, a surfing area, pool basketball, a balance rope bridge, a connecting indoor/outdoor hot tub, a lazy river, a water playground with a massive dump bucket and midsize body slides, and a shallower water area with smaller slides and tons of water features! My 3 kids were thoroughly entertained our entire trip and asking when we would be able to come back! The staff was friendly and attentive throughout. We also found they had an abundance of lifeguards stationed all over who were all always on their feet moving and incredibly focused. Access to meals, snacks, drinks and adult beverages while in the water park area were easy and convenient! We thought the lockers and cabanas were great options and reasonably priced. We found the various onsite options for food (outside the water park area) very good quality with great service. We enjoyed having the option of different dinning experiences (grab and go, buffet, sit down, fine dining). Our kids’ favorite was definitely the ice cream and candy shop! We even got a to-go goody-bag for the ride home! The additional amenities and entertainment options at the resort were also terrific. The arcade, indoor climbing wall, and rope course were impressive and fun when we weren’t in the water. The event calendar has different kid activities (for free & purchase) that interested my kids. We purchased and made stuffed animals in the kids’ quarter with staff. It was adorable, flexible, and manageable for my kids and us. We didn’t save enough time to explore outdoors, but the grounds are beautiful and we hope to use the hiking trails, outdoor area and fire pit next time! Such a great trip, great memories and we can’t wait to go back! …
Brough 2 kids (10/3) and they had a blast. I’m local but we make a night of it - you can check in the day of before you check in and stay later on the day. I’ve been to all the parks like this in the area and this one by far has the best dinner choices on the property.
Been twice and both times were fantastic traveling with family with kids ranging from 3-10. So many activities to please everyone. Food and service were certainly a step above other indoor waterworks we have visited. Water park is a lot of fun and ascetically very nice.
This place was SUPER pricey but the activities were awesome. The water park was super clean and fun and the lifeguards were on TOP of their jobs! Constantly scanning the water. Staff was very friendly throughout the resort. The food was unfortunately terrible. We waited for well over an hour for our food at Harry’s wallbanger the first night of our stay and it was obvious the kitchen had either forgotten or messed up our order- which happens- but no one said anything until I asked and the food came out mediocre at best. Too hungry to complain we ate and paid. The food in the water park itself was not better. Slimy veggies with the hummus was a no can do. The breakfast buffet was the hugest let down of all, and the most expensive meal by far. We paid over 80$ and half of the food was either gone, dried out, or VERY undercooked. We each only ate a very small amount of food and when we asked if any fresh items would be brought out they “checked outback” but nothing materialized. …
Awakened by construction noise during my stay. The hotel is a great place, and we had a great experience. Unfortunately, at 3:30 am we were awakened by construction noise that lasted a few hours The sounds were coming from construction from an adjacent room below ours..
