Don’t get me wrong-Comfort Inns are generally pretty great anyway but what a surprise to find everything very posh, spacious, clean and free breakfast as good as any at this price point. The entire staff, from front desk to lobby to dining room manager, all extremely friendly & helpful. All the amenities too-coffeemaker, small fridge & microwave. Great water pressure, which usually is a disappointment. Quiet, next to rolling farm land, the exterior is surrounded by nature. Just minutes to the center of town & the Baseball Hall of Fame. HIGHLY recommend.
Clean, new, quiet, and a charming location next to a farm. The view outside our window was a beautiful barn! And the spacious breakfast room was surrounded by windows with views of woods. A fellow guest took a morning walk behind the property and saw a wild turkey. Comfortable and delightful.
Hotel was great. Guys at the front desk, Kevin?, was excellent! Very helpful and friendly. Room was clean. Hotel was quiet. Breakfast was great. I would stay here again when in the Cooperstown area. Just a few miles south of town.
The front desk staff went out of their way to make our stay enjoyable. Being this close to the baseball facility the hotel was full of out of town families. Many of these out of town families were incredibly rude and inconsiderate to other guests. IE…mom and dad went partying with other parents and left the kids to roam the halls….till after midnight. The front desk staff had several complaints about these families and spoke to us in a kind, respectful manner indicating they would take care of us. And they did. This is a wonderful front desk staff that should be applauded for working as hard as they do when it seems that decency and compassion for others has disappeared. Many thanks for your hard work and humanity!!
Clean room, Comfortable beds, Shower pressure perfect. The only downfall was the fact that the air conditioner was off every time we came back because the thermostat has a room occupancy sensor. Would definitely stay here off-season because the in season prices are a tad high.
Make your own or Jennifer will assist you. Takes about 3 minutes and very good. Eggs and sausage, breads, fruit and cereal are available as well as coffee, tea and juices. Friendly, helpful staff. Single elevator for the 3 floors operates quickly and no long waits. Ice machine located on first floor. Location is a little remote from all activities of Cooperstown, but savings on room rates are worth it.
From the start - calling from the road and needing a place that night - Keith at the front desk was friendly and accommodating, providing excellent help after a long day. The entire property is outside of town in a very sleepy area, next door to a farm - we looked out on a huge field and grain silos from our window. The rooms were very clean and comfortable, with new furnishings, basic toiletries, fun baseball pix on the wall, great beds and plenty of pillows. We skipped breakfast to check out the Cooperstown diner so we can’t comment on that. Note that pool was not working/available during our stay so call ahead if that matters. Overall, great stay and excellent value - we were comparing it against properties that, on this particular weekend, were priced $50-$100+ higher…
A great, comfortable hotel -- staff were friendly and helpful - We were greeted pleasantly - beds were comfortable -- we asked for a mom and pop type of restaurant and were directed to Upstate Bar & Grill - a great stay all together
We were here for an impromptu overnight so we could bring our developmentally disabled son to the Baseball Hall of Fame. That part of the trip was fine, thank goodness. But our stay at this hotel was far less than stellar. I had selected this hotel because of the good rate obtained by prepaying through a third-party website. I made the reservations almost a month in advance. When we arrived the desk clerk told me that I was not prepaid. I explained about the process and showed her the confirmation email. She argued with me, telling me that I needed to give her a credit card for payment. Rather than fight about it in the lobby in front of my son I acquiesced. We had had a long day sightseeing and were looking forward to a relaxing swim - A FACT THAT I MENTIONED TO THE CLERK WHEN I CHECKED IN. But when my son and I got to the pool it was freezing cold. Not just cold but BITTER cold to the extent that the pool was unusable. The hot tub looked inviting at first but on closer inspection it was filthy. I understand that staffing is limited in many places but scrubbing the dark brown scummy tub ring would not have taken a maintenance person that long. And a heads-up about the unusable pool would have been a courtesy. I went to the lobby to report on the freezing water temperature. A young man stood behind the desk, watching the lobby TV. He glanced at me once or twice while I was talking but mainly stared at the TV. How rude! When I was done speaking he just looked at me and said “OK, I’ll tell someone”, and went back to watching TV. Finally - and this isn’t a big thing but on top of the other issues it just about put me over the edge - the closet rod hangs so low to the floor that you can’t hang a coat, dress or pants without them dragging on the floor. Wasted space much?? Needless to say we would never stay here again, and it is not a good reference for other Comfort Inns & Suites. Good customer service is easy to achieve if they would bother to make an effort.…
I had a very quiet and comfortable stay! Room was standard, but very clean! Bed was comfortable! I can’t believe how quiet this place is. So relaxing after driving all day. Plenty of outlets in the room for all of your electronic devices. I have 4 devices charging, and I have outlets for more.
