We were so hungry and really wanted Mexican food, but apparently there are really no options for Mexican around this area! So we settled on this place. Looks nice and new from the outside and you order at the counter when you walk in. We were SHOCKED at the prices of the food. We live in DC, so we know expensive food! The KIDS cheeseburger and fries was $10.99. 😳Wow. The workers were all very friendly though. Just really couldn't believe how expensive it was. Maybe the prices go down in the off season?

Going to Cooperstown for baseball is expensive; and there are plenty of hotels in the area and plenty of rental properties. The majority of the rental properties are older, so you have to adjust your expectations accordingly. We had three coaches wives and four children staying in Apartment #1 for our tournament week and it could not have been a better place for us. It was very affordable compared to other properties in the area, the apartment was HUGE and we found it to be clean and comfortable. Our experience with the owner, Mr. Brockmann, could not have been better. He was pleasant and helpful throughout the week. He runs a kettle corn stand right in the parking lot, so we saw him every day; and he was very responsive to all of our questions and requests. This is not a new property, we brought our own sheets and towels even though they were provided (I tend to prefer a nice hotel bed, so whenever I rent a place like this, I bring my own linens). The place was clean, although the washer had flooded several days before we arrived, so it had a damp smell to it. We kept the widows open and fans running and within a couple of days it had dried out completely. We did benefit from a brand new washer that he had just installed. The great thing about this place is location. There is a restaurant on either side of it and the Dreams Park is directly across the street (you share the traffic light with the Dreams Park), so it's perfect for the long, busy week of the tournament because you can easily go back and forth. We had several team member families who were staying 20 - 30 minutes or more from the park, and they spent a lot of time hanging out at our apartment! The apartment #1 porch overlooks Little Majors Field, and there is a large front yard area where a lot of our boys played when they were in between games. Was it the nicest place I've ever stayed? Not by a long shot. Would I do it again for this tournament? Absolutely, it's the perfect place to stay for tournament week.

Avoid at all costs. Plenty of other places nearby that are far better. The management is about as surly as they come - treated us as if we were an imposition. Would never stay here again and advise that you don't!
