The location is convenient to Cooperstown but located back from the highway so it is quiet and peaceful. The rooms seemed new - very clean and well appointed. Our bedroom (1 bed) was a bit small, but the bathroom was quite large. The host was exceedingly grateful for our business, even though we only stayed one night. The teeny kitchen has nice plates and real glasses and it was a very pleasant stay.
We had a wonderful stay at Apple Inn and Suites. The hotel is conveniently located a few miles from Cooperstown and lots of restaurants and other attractions close by. It is much more reasonably priced than other hotels in and near Cooperstown. Paul is a super host and looked after us! I forgot my bath suit and Paul mailed it back to me! The outdoor pool is really nice, the room is clean, and has lots of amenities. An awesome family hotel.
We chose this location because it was close to the Cooperstown Village (10 min drive). Paul at the front desk greeted us with a smile and was WONDERFUL to us the entire week! If I could give him and his hospitality more than 5 stars... I would! The room was a nice place to lay our heads after long days on the baseball field. We chose not to have maid service because we didnt need it... the room was stocked with PLENTY of towels, shampoo, conditioner, lotion, hand soap, and toilet paper. There is a laundry facility on site with free laundry soap. A convenience store and gas station are located right out front that closes at 10p... this made it nice to grab snacks, ice and drinks. Please do not expect a five star hotel or hard water pressure...but if you want a close Cooperstown Village location, excellent service from a very kind and caring man, comfortable beds and air conditioning this is the place for you!…
Apple Inn is an excellent place to stay when visiting Cooperstown. Room is clean, modern and has all the amenities of a major hotel chain. It’s very roomy and has a front and back door. There is a pool too. Paul, the owner, jumps up from his desk to greet you with a handshake. The business appears to be a labor of love and his brother owns the gas station/convenience store out front. We visit Cooperstown every few years and have stayed somewhere different each time. This is now our favorite. Early June was very quiet.
Visited Cooperstown, NY this month and went to Trip Advisor for advise on a place to stay. The Apple Inn had 5 star approval, so decided to try it. It was a few miles outside of Cooperstown but only maybe a 10 minute drive, and well worth it. The room was very adequate , extremely clean, beds were comfy, and had a little kitchenette with microwave, toaster oven, coffeemaker, refrig and flat screen tv. Paul was extremely friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay again and the price was excellent.
This motel is a little gem and perfect location. The Manager Paul is the best, so friendly and accommodating. We booked our baseball team here and it was perfect for our group. Kids loved it! Stop here, you won’t regret it!
We stayed at this Inn for one week, received excellent service. It exceeded our expectations, we highly recommend it. The Manager was very courteous, the complex was very clean it had a laundry room with complimentary Detergent, softness for the guests. It rates 5 stars.
Our room at the Apple Inn was clean and well-appointed. The staff was extremely helpful and friendly. We stayed there the weekend of the Ommegang Belgian beer festival and it was a short cab ride away. It was also a short drive into Cooperstown.
The Apple Inn was very pleasant. Overall, the room we stayed in was extremely clean and well-kept. It was a bit small for four adults, but it’s fine if you’re only staying for a few nights. The pool was clean (they have fair rules to keep it safe and in good condition) and the view around the inn is spectacular. The manager was very friendly and made sure he stayed around in case we needed anything. It’s a great spot to stay if you’re thinking of hitting up the Baseball Hall of Fame!
Being a corporate traveler who is use to staying at five-star hotels, and given that this motel is in a small rural town, I was a bit nervous about staying; however, my concerns were quickly erased when I arrived. Room was very clean and relatively new. The owner is on premise and could not have been any nicer and more accommodative. It is a family ran business and the owner takes much pride in delivering a pleasant guest experience. The back view is spectacular and there is a modern convenience store within steps. Location is 15 minutes from Cooperstown and Oneonta.
