Detailed Reviews
Rented second floor studio with a balcony overlooking creek with a bull frog symphony at night. Clean and nicely furnished. Kitchen supplied with essentials for a breakfast or serving snacks to other family members at the wedding. Good Wifi (never turned on the TV). Was prewarned that there might be mosquitos at night ... we did not experience this. About 3 blocks from downtown Mexico for TOPS grocery store and gas stations.

This was one of the best experiences I have had. The rooms were clean, the river view with outside deck view was amazing. Had a bungalow with 3 spacious rooms, and an on-site restaurant with a fish fry that was out of this world. AMAZING STAY!

Good place to stay if you just need a room. Nothing fancy. Nice setting and looks like a nice bar/restaurant setup. It was difficult to get the TV to work. Stayed here for my son's college graduation as his ceremony was at 9:00am. Staff was friendly.

We arrived on a hot day. All we saw was a sign for a lodge and restaurant. There were no signs indicating a hotel, lodging or where to go to sign in. We walked around for a while before entering the restaurant which was a bar. We didn’t see any indication of a place to sign in so we left. A man came out telling us we can check in at the bar so we did. The lady checking us in was curt but okay. We got the code to get into our room.
When we entered our room the AC was not on. It was hot. Again, it was a hot, humid day. Would have been nice to have had the AC on already as they were expecting us.
The room didn’t look like they were expecting us. The coffee pot was dusty. The toilet paper had run out. The shampoos were not stocked. Again, it just didn’t look like they had expected us.
Hangers in the closet were old wire hangers.
Room was no frills. Bed was clean. Bathroom
Was clean.
The back yard area was pretty but no fussing. You cannot get to the water. Just hear it and see it in the distance.
I would not stay there again. I recommend finding another option.

The lodging here is very quiet and quaint. It is a good experience. The staff is very friendly and kind. This isn’t like staying at the Four Seasons, but it is like staying with friends or family- company you can enjoy when you go to the restaurant, but quiet and privacy at night in the rooms. Highly recommended for the area!

This local place has a few rooms attached to their restaurant and event complex. A bit spartan, but all the basics including decent WiFi. Bed was comfy enough, though the plastic mattress pad was a bit annoying. It was nice to have a couple of beers with dinner and not have to drive to our room.

We stopped at the hotel on our way to Canada. We had Room 1 -- very large with a comfortable bed. The shower was fine and bathroom was large. The room had a kitchenette with plenty of coffee packets. This is not a B&B, and breakfast is not available at the restaurant but there are places in town. The TV was on the small side, but there was a wide choice of channels. The heat worked very well, which was important since it was bitter cold outside. The room decor was fairly spartan looking but it had everything necessary and the price was great. We had a nice view of the river and, if the weather had been better, we could have taken advantage of the deck attached to the room. Highly recommend.
