Staff was extremely polite/helpful. Room was exactly as described and very clean (I'm a germaphobe, so it was nice to finally see a hotel I felt comfortable in). Great view of Manhattan from the rooftop patio. The only downside is the location. The area feels a little sketchy, but the hotel offers a free shuttle service to all nearby subway... More

I have reviewed our housekeeping and maintenance reports for the last 2 months and cannot seem to find one complaint about sheets with holes, or moldy towels. Cleanliness is something that we take very seriously at Ravel Hotel. If you have a housekeeping issue, we urge you to contact the front desk as soon as you become aware. Our guest... More

My husband and I were in town for one night for a wedding at the Foundry, which is right around the corner. When we checked into our room, our tv didn't work so my husband went to the front desk thinking the remote needed batteries. They said they didn't have any but would send housekeeping. We then heard housekeeping outside... More

Dear Valued Guest, I am sorry to hear that your experience with us was less than satisfactory. Let me start by apologizing for your inconveniences during your stay. The television issue should not have taken that long to rectify. I truly apologize for your 45 minute wait. I am looking into this immediately. I will be reviewing the performance of... More

Hats off to Ravel for trying to offer boutique at a lower price than Manhattan. We arrived for 4 nights having stayed at Thompson LES wanting to break our week across 2 hotels but not get sucked into the exorbitant rates Manhattan throws at you. We booked a Penthouse and arrived too early to check in. We headed into town... More

My boyfriend & I love to travel. We've stayed at many, many hotels and we can honestly say this is thee BEST hotel EVER. It was December and we were spending our half a year anniversary here. The exterior of the hotel did not look amazing, but it was expected from the pictures we've seen. The interior though, was nice.... More

After a sour first experience, I wrote a letter of complaint to the owner about the service of one particular waitress that hosted my birthday party. I was pleasantly surprised at the urgency of their response and eagerness to correct the mistreatment. Long story short, I was invited back, shown a wonderful evening, and I have returned several times afterwards.... More

My client was not able to stay because her flight got cancelled due to weather. She had no options to get there for her business meeting. Called hotel the morning of the night she was to be there and asked if they could waive charge due to situation. NO GO! They charge anyway, but did offer a credit for a... More

I've stayed in a LOT of hotels for work travel; the Ravel is a bit worn-looking (paint/wallpaper is a bit worn, shower tiles could use clean grout - looks dirty, but I think it's just old), but the staff is friendly enough and the bed is comfortable. If you are looking to spend a LOT more, then you will get... More

Don't be fooled by the pictures, this hotel is old with new furniture in the smallest lobby I've ever seen. The hallways are old and need to be remodeled. The rooms are large but we found red hair all over the computer chair and the shower needed to be wiped down from top to bottom. The view is a joke... More
