I was put up here for a work event. The dust and grime behind the furniture and along the edges of the carpets is nasty. I woke up at 6:30 to find the bathroom completely flooded with water. It appeared to be coming from the sink and toilet. I called down to let the front desk know, and asked for more towels (since I soaked them all cleaning it up). Forty minutes later, no maintenance or towels. I called again. Half hour later, still no towels. I went down to the desk and had to get them myself. Reminded him again that the bathroom flooded. The response was “oh sorry.”
This seems to be the "best" place to stay in Liberty, but it's a bit dated, like cracked and peeling wall coverings, black-stained white grout. We rented 2 rooms. Before arriving, my daughter informed me that one (only one out of many) review had mentioned finding bedbugs. I read online on how to check a room for bedbugs. Immediately after entering, I put my suitcase in the bathtub while I checked. I pulled back the sheets and one of the two beds had red blood splattered on it, in many places. I brought my bag with me to the front desk and was immediately given another room. A week before we arrived, they said they replaced all the mattresses in the hotel and they are all in zippered, tightly woven covers. Did the bugs in the first room come from the carpets, the drapes, the furniture? I don't know. Very strong smelling cleaning products seem to be what people use in Liberty, as that's how our room smelled (opening a window greatly helped) and how every bathroom in restaurants in town smelled. Four of us stayed two nights. It's an ok place, but check your room upon arrival.…
A dull drab motel. It has a mediocre breakfast and the restaurant was closed most of out stay. The room had a very loud heater/ac unit. The town its self is as depressing as this motel. I can not recommend anyone staying here unless there was no other choice.
Where to start? Well, the lobby doesn’t look awful, but once you try to check in with the rude desk staff.. Look out for the mandatory up front damages charge that took weeks to refund. Rooms were a wreck - old, in disrepair, with stained carpet, mildew smell, rock hard creaky beds, dirty moldy bathroom with cracked tiles. There were signs at the entrances to the indoor and outdoor pools that they were closed by the Department of Health. “Restaurant” didn’t serve any food, “arcade” were a couple of old video game consoles. The “gym” was a half broken treadmill, broken bike, and some rusty dumbbells.
I booked here as part of the overflow from a weekend wedding in the area thinking "how bad cold it be? It's a Day Inn." Well this property is just a step above a Flop House or a No Tell Motel. Stay anywhere else.
I read some really scathing reviews of this place and wasn't expecting much. I was pleasantly surprised my the condition of the motel and all the ways my room had been upgraded and all the amenities available. Although a light breakfast, there many choices and I ended up leaving at midnight, the man at the desk offered to make me a coffee. The room was immaculate and everyone who worked there was friendly and interested in my my stay pleasant...and it was
I was here on a business trip. It is literally the only hotel that can accommodate large groups. Everything is dated and is not well maintained. Do not expect anything good. Sheets were not cleaned in some rooms, pool was cloudy, and screens were ripped in windows.
Indoor pool is still closed been closed over two years at least. The outside pool is open and looks very clean. Housekeeping staff has tip envelopes in the room However my room was not overly cleaned as it was for your left by the TV from the last tenant and no sugar or coffee packs. Our second room had opened coffee packets. Beds were comfortable enough they're actually double beds not queens good for overnight and check in was very nice and very helpful. Breakfast and Ge general is cereal and waffles but they did have bagels another red and orange juice etc.
I stayed at this hotel on July 22 2002. At 5pm I attempted to use the swimming pool. There was no sign that the pool was closed. The pool was unlocked. I went into the water as I expected to do. Suddenly the pool attendant demands that I get out of the pool because it was being cleaned. He tells me to get out of the pool or will he will drag me out. The front desk clerk also tells me to get out of the pool in a nasty way. I will not tolerate this type of behavior. I contacted the hotel management to coach these employees in matters of customer courtesy. As of today there has been no such undertaking by the hotel management. As a hotel guest I am entitled to use of the swimming pool in season if it is working. There was no indication of any problem when I went in there. Accordingly if you want to deal with nasty, threatening and violent people this hotel is for you. Avoid this hotel if you value your safety.…
Dirty, smelly, carpet stained, peeling wall paper. Only place to stay in area, I was desperate. Free breakfast a joke, even the coffee was bad! Both pools closed by BOH. Would rather drive 1 hour away for different accommodations. NEVER AGAIN!!!
