Amapondo is Ama-azing. Amapondo is nestled on a hill on the verge of a tropical rain forest and only 2 minutes walk from a beautiful beach. Head down to sunbathe or plunge in the clear warm waters of the deep rock pools nearby. The African-themed rooms and deluxe private self-catering cottages all have their own unique design and style. The quirkily designed cottages have incredible views, are really comfortable and come at a price that you'll find hard to match. Turtle Cove has one of the best views on the Wild Coast from its upstairs bubble bath, whilst Crystal House, with its glass frontage, offers classic panoramic ocean views. Whether you want a quiet, relaxing break in your own piece of paradise, a base from which you can explore the natural beauty of the area, an adventure on one of their many tours, close interactions with locals, genuine cultural experiences, yoga lessons, a deep tissue massage, or a thumping all-out party at their buzzy bar, you'll find it at Amapondo.

There are many ways to get lost on the Wild Coast but this one tops it by far! The place is a mix of rustic styled dorms and rooms in and old school that is up on the hill overlooking second beach. They have an awesome chillout and bar space right in the middle that looks like

What a special little spot right on the beach - welcoming, festive and fun. We used two types of accommodation at Amapondo - a family room for my parents and a campsite for myself and our little family. The campsite has fantastic views of 2nd beach and was just above the main

We stayed in one of the little cottages, it is so well thought out and equipped. The view is spectacular, and the visiting Donkeys were such a laugh. I would 100% recommend this spot to anyone looking for a unique breakaway.

We stopped off here for one night camping on our way to East London. We enjoyed our stay, but as the backpackers is so far off the beaten track, it was not actually as convenient as we were expecting. The campsite has beautiful views and my kids loved having donkeys, dogs and

Firstly, thanks Sandra P for your answers. Brian, please check our website, which is very comprehensive. PSJ is pretty safe and crime is rare, but we have security on site and a perimeter fence too. We can accommodate up to 74 people, excluding camping. We have 5 self-catering units, plus a good restaurant and bar on site. You can contact us by email and phone 0833153103. Speak to the receptionist who can advise. Thandi and Tebs are the managers. Neil and Amanda are the owners. Hope to see you next year.

Wow, really sorry for such a late response. Our Guest reviews pop up on email and so get answered. These questions don't and we have never actually noticed them. Oops. On it now, but its too late to answer you. There is nothing wrong with our bookings system. It could have been the internet going down - that happened a lot last year. Blame the satellites, monkeys that swing on our satellite dish, and the weather that screws with our connection. We've since improved the situation and don't get these gaps without connection.
