It's beautiful! I can't speak about their food because we were in town for a conference, so we mostly ate on main street between sessions. BUT I have to say they have wonderful beds! I never sleep well away from home, but I slept great...More
It's a great getaway. Everything is so peaceful here. The staff is extremely accommodating. The grounds are pristine. White glove service. They have a free shuttle to their canoe club, and into town about 2 miles away.Buffet breakfast was included and was very good.
My husband and I stayed at The Whiteface Lodge during Ironman Lake Placid 2016. The lodge is very unique as it a giant log cabin. The room we had was a suit with kitchen, laundry, one bedroom. We really liked it! The staff all seemed...More

yes the hotel has very good food is pricey so what we would do is order pizza and wings from one of the local places they deliver it right to the room for the kids and then we would go have a nice dinner at Kanu....
last month we had dinner at Nicolas with two families and had six children all under the age of 10.... the food was absolutely delicious every meal is hand compared scrumptious pizzas were delicious too....
.. but they didn't have a dedicated kids menu so we just had to order them some shells with sauce.... a little pricey of a place to take children but worth it if you want a really good Italian food that's genuine..
plus being a small town its restaurants hve to be good... they're not going to last very long so the established businesses have been doing something right for many years.... they have to keep the locals in the tourists happy....
